Fireproof Your Marriage: Leader's Guide

i enjoyed the book. not used this specifically as it was a gift so i cannot rate the content really. but no complaints.

Since it isn't mentioned in the description here or on most websites selling this DVD study kit, I would like to say that each video segment is only 2-5 minutes long and this DVD is nothing more than just clips and a trailer from the movie. We were hoping it was actually going to be a Bible study DVD and not just movie clips. Studies I have done in the past that included a DVD were always a 15-20 min video of someone giving a Bible based discussion of the topic.We decided to watch the full movie as a group before begininng the study and that helped us to have a better understanding as to what exactly was going on in each DVD clip.While the study book has a number of discussion questions, we found a number of them to be worded oddly (the questions after the movie discussion) and were difficult to even produce answers for. For week 3, 3 of the discussion questions were virtually the same question worded differently. Two people also commented on the choice of verses used and felt that there could have been better fitting verses to use for this study.We did like the fact that there were a couple of inspiring "couples" testimonies and also the weekly couples and individual devotions were great to help us to keep our focus through the week.Our entire study group really liked the actual Fireproof movie and this review is based on the study/video only. We would highly recommend the movie but not the study. You are essentially paying for the guide, a disc with clips attached to the inside of the book, and a very small leader guide. We would suggest looking at other marriage studies if that is the topic your group has decided to do a study on.

Our life group is spending a season where we are diving deeper into marriage and thought this a great time to introduce this classic movie I mean come on- it’s Kirk Cameron! We started a were let down week 1, the questions were so simple and easy. We pushed through to week 2 hoping that it would be better but same thing.This study would be good for people who are new to marriage or a group that isn’t wanting to go deep and search your hearts publicly. Its extremely surface level and in no way do I believe that you will gain much knowledge from this study.2- starts for Kirk Cameron.

This study is very moving and encouraging for all couples, no matter how long they have been married. Divorce is a reality that faces all walks of life and this study will help couples think about ways to communicate better and make plans for their future. I had ten couples complete the study, one couple had been married for 23 years and one couple for six weeks, the rest fell somewhere in between and we all learned something about how to come closer together and allow God to lead in our marriages. Be sure to get a participant's Guide for each individual and watch the movie with your group before starting the study. The lessons are broken up into three sections, the group section, a section for the men, a section for the women, and a section for each couple to complete on their own. This study will challenge you and the couples to come closer together and allow God to guide their marriage for His honor and glory. I highly recommend this study for all couples and couples who are planning to get married.

I loved this study! We purchased this kit to use as a small group study guide, and it doesn't disappoint. The questions and way the book flows you through each topic is perfect for couples wanting to dig deeper and grow together, both with each other and with Christ.
