To mark the 25th anniversary of Plus 8 Records, the label release 'From My Mind To Yours', an album featuring new music from label co-founder Richie Hawtin.Reflecting the forward-thinking ethos of the sound of Plus 8, the album collects tracks recorded over the past few months by Hawtin. The album features a variety of aliases under which he has previously recorded including Plastikman, FUSE and Robotman.The album draws together tracks that have been released over the past few weeks as a series of mysterious and very limited 12” singles.

Bit of a grower but after a couple of listens liked it lots. Very minimal as you'd expect and some sublime stuff going on .Love the FUSE tracks and the best Simple Simon rendition ever . Simon says Get your phones on your head.......

The lord of acid, the king of minimal techno.
16 tracks all by Richie Hawtin, 8 disguises each slightly different in approach to the others.Others try to create minimal techno, most fail where Richie Hawtin creates atmosphere with tiny brush strokes.He's mastered the Roland TB303 -that acid squelch machine that Roland considered a failure- Richie here proves that machine is a musical instrument not just some plastic box.To some people on just one listen dont get Richie Hawtin, I'd suggest a quiet place, a glass of your favourite tipple & headphones or a great sound system that can bring out both bass & treble well.All this & he was born in my hometown: Banbury, Oxfordshire, UK.
