I actually prefer the gel version of thickener the most. It starts working instantly whether the liquid is cold or room temperature. However, I get it in bulk and it's a pain for when we are traveling. I use these packets for traveling and emergency backups by putting a few in the glove box. My son needs thickened liquids. For room temperature this is supposed to work instantly, and cold you wait 5 minutes. I usually have to wait a minute or two even for room temperature. But I love the individual measured packets.If you need on a normal basis, getting in bulk whether powder or gel is the best bet price wise though. For longer trips I have gotten the larger of powder, but that one I found was a different brand that I had to wait whether the liquid was room temperature or cold. This one seems to kick on faster for room temperature.

Great for an on the go option, super easy instructions, good value for the quality, mixes well, didn’t change the taste of my daughters food, helped her so much!

The best thickener so far

My son requires thickened liquids and while I like the tubs of purathick for at home, I think these mini packets are great for on the go. I keep several in my purse and diaper bag at all times just in case.

This product doesn't dissolve good in room temperature. The THICK IT product works much better! Will not order again.

Works, but just really wish it came flavored or something.
