Do not provide much power to a torch that uses a BULB rather than an LED
I have no idea what the 'power output' is for these D cell rechargeable batteries, but it is certainly NOT enough for their intended purpose - a couple of 'old' torches that use a very small 'bulb' rather than an 'LED'.One of these torches uses three D cells, the other use 4 D cells. Neither lights up that well, with the same batteries. Either these batteries can't provide enough power fully charged, or they are faulty - no way to prove faulty or weak power - except they are NOT good enough for my Torches.I can't think of another device that uses D Cell batteries - except an old '1940's/1950's'? Wooden Cased 'Mantelpiece' clock of my Grandparents (so well over 50 yrs old), but that has had a replacement of a (one) AA battery powered quartz movement in it for about 3-5 yrs approx since the previous one 'ate its battery' evry month or less, & kept stopping - not due to battery being flat - the old movement was knackered.Currently the single AA (rechargeable) battery in it lasts at least a YEAR or more. It cost me far too much to have a 'new movement' put in it, since the clock has virtually ZERO economic value, but since it was sentimental to me, I was wanting it fixed. Though any more than what it cost would have been too much.THESE D cell batteries are NOT recommended for a large torch if you NEED good light (especially if your eyesight is not to good), though I have no idea what else D cells can be used for these days, other than old torches??
