So far so good. Fortunately I saw a previous review which mentioned that they had received a communication after purchase about putting these in the oven for 15 minutes before using as there was an initial smoking problem. I had the same communication which I have copied below so anyone ordering will be aware beforehand. My oven did smoke when I first put them in on their own but to be honest I'm not sure if that was the mats or the residue of fat splashing from my roast dinner the day before!! :-) There has been no smoke since and they have worked well. Not very durable! One of these tore when washing after only a handful of uses. They also stain very quickly if you are cooking something fatty and it smokes. Good cooking results, though, and I now use the remaining one whenever I'm grilling!

This is an extremely useful heat mat. I’d never seen something like this before. I mainly use it for putting hot things such as saucepans on top. I was initially very disappointed as I thought I’d only received one but it turns out that you just need to peal them apart!There are two sides - one that traps heat underneath and keeps food warmer and one side that allows heat to dissipate through the gaps really quickly. It’s a really smart idea. I was quite pleasantly surprised by how strong these are. You press your weight down onto the mat and the spike would still stay strong. Pretty impressive.The reason I dropped a star is because it’s very difficult to clean due to the gaps. It is dishwasher safe but it takes up a lot of room in the dishwasher and simply putting it in flat against the walls of the dishwasher wouldn’t clean it properly, I imagine. I think the easiest way is to drizzle soap water on top and leave it overnight.That’s why I mainly use it for just putting hot stuff on top - I don’t want to have to clean it! I otherwise did have a go at baking some oven chips and fish on this and all the oil got drained out perfectly, which is fantastic. Other than the cleaning effort, I think this is a really innovative and useful product. If you just want to use this for putting food / hot pans / etc. on top then cleaning isn’t even an issue.

This is my third lot of these silicone tray liners - they are awesome - no sticky fatty residue on your food, making potato wedges is easy peasy, they cook in half the time and don't stick at all. Baking Sausage rolls is a breeze, I have even thrown a few sausages and some bacon on them and they cooked great. Simple to wash with hot soapy water afterwards, I did try laying them in the dishwasher to clean but to be honest it just doesn't do the job quite well enough. I have bought them for other members of the family and they love them too. My goodness they save wear and tear on the metal trays, you save on scrubbing the metal trays and you end up eating healthier as well, its a win win purchase.

First I only received one mat not two.Delivery as promised otherwise.Also, I cooked some chicken at 180 Celciuse - 50 Celcius below the products stated maximum temperature. When I checked the food after 10 minutes, upon opening the oven door I was consumed by plumes of blue smoke. This was clearly eminating from the surface of the mat. Concerned what was coming off the mat, I removed the chicken and finished the cooking process off on foil as usual.I have just reviewed the other reviews due to my rating being so different, and indeed I did not realise that there are two sheets which I have now prized apart. However, I will not be using them again due to the heavy blue smoke eminating from both the topside and underside of the baking mat at only 180 Celcius.

No smoking from oven. Lovely crisp potatoes and the grease went into the spaces designed to catch it, so all good.

I was looking forward ti using these and they are good quality, however i do not find it helps with crimping things up on the underside of the food. They are in the back of the cupboard and i have gone back to folding my tinfoil to lift the food.

It works well and easy to clean.
