Hotspot Stove Paint Matt Black 450ml Aerosol

This was a great find. Value for money and can be used on loads of things from companion sets to log burners and flues.

Thought I'd use this to give my pan stands a new lease of life. Looks great when applied but as soon as you use a pan it just scratches off. Absolutely pointless.

Bought this as it was recommended by the firm I bought our giant cast iron chiminea from to cover up small patches of red rust.Managed to get 2 coats out of it which went on very evenly and looked good.Have yet to see if the paint will prevent/protect from any further rust appearing.Would like to have had more paint in the can as it did not seem to be as full as it could be and will need to buy another now for future use.Overall a good product.

A good product, easy to apply, just ensure you cover your floor if your fire is in situ as the spray turns to powder in the air and thankfully lands as powder on the floor and not paint!Paint on a small roller would be better, to be honest. The paint burnt off once the fire had been lit a few times even when the spray had been built up three times. I think it would be better used on a stove than on the stove pipe but it was our pipe that needed addressing.It has a black matt finish so not really suitable if your product has a sheen to it.

I used this on our coal boiler hopper which gets rusty. We don't yet know how effective it will be. Have previously used the Stove paint on a fire hood which worked well.

No real problem with smell, as others have complained of. I sprayed in the back garden, but then once I had all the coals replaced in the fire I did a very careful and quick overall spray, which is not recommended but it was OK, and it did make a difference to the appearance. Finished effect is very natural.

Used this on an old canopy fitted in an inglenook.Sanded the canopy to give it a smooth finish before spraying it with this stove paint. It gave it that perfectly matt flawless finish I was after.
