Well, we had an Englishman coming to visit and we know he loves his tea, and not in a teabag! So we got this teapot,, used it, and sent it home with him as a lovely-looking present! The ample screen insert takes either loose dry tea leaves, loose fresh leaves like mint, or teabag(s). Preheat it with hot water you then pour out, heat up water and when it JUST comes off the boil/bubbles, pour it in over the tea/screen. Good fitting lid and good pouring spout. The cast iron inside is lined. The tea stays hot in the pot a long time. Aaah! So this is what all the fuss is about, yum!

I had ordered it for a stove teakettle, but it was too small. It was so cute I could not return it and have it in my kitchen as a decorative piece. I really like the way it is made. It is very sturdy and well made. Very heavy as it is cast iron.

A wonderful teapot that is very heavy and holds the heat well. Very attractive pot. I deducted one star because it arrived with the handle detached and it was quite difficult to reattach.

Cast steel handle hard as a rock and a cast iron pot hard as a rock with two little holes for the handle. Given that neither is flexible, how can this 67 year old woman make this work? Rating 3 stars because I'm giving the seller the benefit of the doubt and assuming they will come back with a solution for me. Will alter my review if needed. Pot is really cute and could possibly be made to work but pouring would be a big problem!

Perfect little tea pot! I ordered this pot after giving up coffee and switching to only tea 🍵(Mostly pu'erh tea) and of course I just had to purchase the right teapot to bring the leaves to a boil.The tea pot is just the perfect size and I like how strong it makes the tea, without being too overpowering and at the same time you can use the leaves for a couple of pots of yummy tasting tea at the right temp... The only thing about it is that the top is cast iron so you have to of course use a pot holder to pick it up or else you will bring your hand. Note to self! Great little teapot, I use it every single day and love it!

I love this tea pot! It holds more than it looks like it will, is beutiful and hold heat for a long time! Tea basket is easy to remove and clean.Don’t need another one but I will consider this as a gift item in the future!

I love my new lilac blossom cast iron tea pot! My day starts off wonderfully with the first hot sip of tea. The pot is both sturdy and elegant. The capacity is also generous. I definitely notice that my tea is kept hotter in the the cast iron pot than the ceramic one I used to use. The steep is even and flavorful. I was also pleased with the follow up emails from the seller with care instructions. I would recommend this pot to any tea lover!!!
