Excellent knife sharp and well balanced, good replacement for my much older bread knife

We were given one of these for xmas last year and it's sooooo good that we've been buying them for the rest of the family. The blade retains its sharp edge, it looks good and it does the job excellently. Worth every penny.

Didn't realize how awful my old knife was until I cut slices on a squashy whole meal loaf..it sailed through it Cannot beat quality .i have 2 other knives of this brand very satisfied

I love this knife, some I know had one and i was so impressed with it. An excellent cutting blade and comfortable handle . My partner makes his own sourdough and it needs a good knife . So pleased when I found it available on amazon.

I think the serrated blade is a bit too viscous it cuts the bread but leaves too many crumbs, it is good to look at and handle , and the price is ok but just not my favourite bread knife. it could do with being a bit longer, these have been around for years and have a nostalgic feel about them so dont be put off by this review if you dont mind crumbs it does cut well and has a nice handle .

After trying for years to find a bread knife that is truly ground for left handed people I have found this knife….I have bought many knifes in the hope of finding one that has the serations ground with the taper of the ‘teeth’ on the left side of the knife when holding the knife in your left hand….and the right hand face of the knife being flat, with no taper to the serations…….. Believe me folks this alone makes this knife a revelation to left handed people…..when cutting anything it will give a perfectly straight cut….without the slices sloping to the left….why you might ask…..the reason is because the ‘flat’ side of the blade is rubbing against the item being cut…..big deal you might be thinking…..well it is for left handed people….Enough regarding the left handed capabilities…..this knife cuts like a dream, be it bread, cakes, any kind of roast or raw meat, vegetables…..you name it….razor sharp, and so easy to handle….a brilliant quality knife when judged by cutting ability alone……add to the fact that it is a true revelation to left handed folks…cannot recommend enough…..honestly

I presume the French design these to get through a crusty baguette, and it has bigger blade teeth than a normal bread knife, which is perfect for sourdough etc. The blade isn't quite long enough to span a big boule of bread, but the blade is so efficient you can just cut through like you were sawing wood. Just be careful with the chopping board though - this thing will gouge out chunks of wood as you make teh Final Cut through unless you're careful
