This is a good product for the price. Some folks mentioned it is on the thin side or that it can easily be broken into. Yes there are heavier gauge products available and a determined individual with some basic tools (crowbar, hammer etc) enough time and no fear of being caught could break into it, but you’re simply going to have to pay a lot more to overcome that.This box is well built, clean welds and is as advertised i.e. lockable, inset latch, sturdy, spring loaded handles and a good paint job (there’s a similar Lund box out there that is none of these things according to reviews and photos). There’s a possibility for water intrusion at the hinge rivets but again, I’ve never seen a water tight tool box at this price. I’m sure a little silicone will help a lot. It does have a nice, raised and gasketed edge so no big leaks I’m sure.At 170 lbs I can stand on it no problem.I bought it for use in my newest ranch truck to carry basic tools, load handling gear etc. without losing my whole bed (only 6’4”). I like that I can mount this on the driver side and still have the full bed length available on the other side. It can’t be mounted flush if you want to be able to open it all the way. The 2-4” behind it is perfect for securing long handles tools.It would also be a great box to mount on a trailer for storing hauling accessories.I also won’t be too upset when it inevitably gets beat up, warped and dinged since it’s not a $400-$800 box.I will update if I find surprises in service.

I chose this product due to the built in weather seal, color, material, and build quality. Very happy with my purchase. I wanted a tool box that would fit under my tonneau cover. Plenty of storage space for my tools and supplies. Larger than a standard tabletop workbench tool chest. My only concern is the aluminum. I expected that it would dent much easier than steel. You sacrifice durability for the weight savings...just keep that in mind when using your truck bed for hauling. The locking mechanism is very secure. Overall very happy with this product.

It was a perfect fit for my UTV

Bought this toolbox to install on my RV tongue for extra storage.It's a nice box - Key lock with a plastic cap to keep out the elements, rubber weather stripping to keep water out of the box, and nicely coated with black paint.The box is a little thinner than I expected, however, it does work very well for what I wanted it for. I installed my RV battery inside to deter left since I leave my RV in a lot that is not the most secure, and it worked very well for that. It installed on the tongue of my RV very easily and since it was light, it made for easy handling during installation.The box has been on since late summer - it is February as I write this review, and the box has held up pretty well. We'll see how it goes once we get a year or so of age on it. It is aluminum, so I would say we'll be fine - I'm most worried about the lock and handles rusting on it. Too soon to tell. More to come.Nice box for the price and was what I was looking for, for the most part. The seller was great, shipping super fast, and well packaged.

I thought the walls were going to be slightly thicker , thats what i assumed looking at the photo but its fairly light conidering the size , as any other tool box i presume . It arrived with no damage or scratches which was what i was already expecting, so that was great to see it was in pristine co dondition . exact size aswell thank you

It seems like it will keep water out reasonably well (it hasn’t been exposed to a heavy rain yet), but it’s not very secure. The latch is only in the center and there are no rods that run to the edges of the lid like a truck box. Since the gauge of the aluminum is so thin, a person could easily grab a corner and peel it back or pop the lid. If you need a box that offers reasonable security, keep looking.
