Instant Pot did it again, as far as I am concerned. I upgraded from a 3-quart "mini" model to this one, which was possible in my very tight space in a 4th-floor appartment in the Bronx, because this one is slimmer than the original model, and I was able to fit it in with only minor adjustments.I love this brand and their customer service if you ever need it is par excellence.Comment to picture below: even on the old one (3-quart IP DuoMini), I had to close the lid when I used the Nutribullit that sits behind it, so that did not change. The only difference is that I need to have the handle of the Nutribullet on the left, with the smaller unit, I could also have it on the right. In short, it is entirely workable in my small space - on the top of the fridge.

I am an 84 year old Great Grandmother. I just ordered the insta pot because my 87 year old brother has one and loves it. So far I have only used it about four times and I am very pleased with how well it works. The food is delicious and cooked to perfection! I highly recommend it to everyone who loves cooking.

This is in my opinion better than the instant pot in many ways 1. It gives you a clear progression bar - never have to guess which stage it in! 2. It gives so many convenient preset programs 3. It lets you control the temperature and the pressure and the timer. 4. It is easy to clean and the pressure release is safe and effective.

First, my sister has 5 instant pots that she uses all of the time. She loves them but they are all older models. NONE of them are this model. I thought it would be a great purchase.2nd. It is not a great purchase. There is no setting this thing and forgetting it. It needs constant monitoring because the steam comes out of the button. You switch it to close and walk away thinking it is sealed after you watched it for a few minutes only to come back and see that steam is coming out and it will not come to pressure.If you want to boil just water then this would work. But as soon as you put even 2 small pork chops in it, it does not work properly.I am hoping customer service will fix this issue. But they want a lot of tests and a lot of pictures. I understand this. However, They want me to turn it on, cook more food to get a picture of the burn notice. I don’t like wasting food and do I need to risk the fire hazard?It doesn’t matter if you have double the water in here, it steams off and then burns whatever is left. It rarely comes to pressure.I wasted my money. I rarely leave reviews. This model is bad. I wish I realized this before the Amazon warranty was over.3rd. I wish all of the reviews with 1 star were here when I purchased this instant pot. They all say the same thing. The steam button will not stay closed. You constantly have to monitor it and it burns the food. Even if you open the lid and add more water then try to get the steam part to seal while you have an oven mitt on and hold it shut, your food will either be very dry or burned on one side.4th. Unless instant pot customer service will fix this issue I won’t buy another item from this brand. I didn’t know at the time but there are other instant pot type of pressure cookers out there. I would rather try them than burn another piece of meat.

I think in the 3-4 weeks I've had this, I've used it 80% of the time for dinner. It's easy, it's helped me lose weight by making home cooking, and every recipe I've tried, whether in an Instant Pot cookbook or one of my trusty recipe websites, has been delicious. Who knew I could make fall-off-the-bone ribs from frozen in only an hour? You've probably heard of these since you're reading reviews. Some people, like me, were able to get rid of our crock pots, rice cookers, slow cookers, etc. A few others prefer an actual Crock Pot for slow cooking. I have not had any issues with this though. I've done BBQ ribs, beef with barley soup, French onion soup, cheesy tuna noodle casserole, Bolognese sauce, chili, roast beef, etc and all turned out amazing No more $80 dinners for two in Italian restaurants! The Bolognese recipe I found on a site is as good as our local restaurant, which is very good. And the 6 quart Instant Pot means leftovers for lunch or dinner the next day, also saving money.
