I bought the Vacmaster spot cleaner after previously owning a spot cleaner from one of the major well known brands? The main reason was simply down to a better design. The previous machine used a transparent hose that was very rigid and far too short, making it cumbersome and very awkward to use, and due to its inflexibility, eventually split, rendering the cleaner scrap. The hose is available as a spare part, but it's not replaceable without dismantling the whole machine. The Vacmaster on the other hand uses a vacuum hose that is longer, far more flexible, and of a superior quality and design, which should be more durable and easier to operate, especially when working in confined spaces, like inside a car.The other plus point is, it is almost twice as powerful as the previous clearer, with far greater suction, leaving areas that have been cleaned, far cleaner and dryer, with less liquid left behind, allowing for much quicker drying. All in all a great product that is highly recommended.

Arrived today and I was eager to try it out. I had to screw on the side hook for hose which hopefully won't break off but only one screw holding it on.. two compartments. One for clean water and other collects dirty water. Easy to fill up with hot tap water and added a capful of carpet shampoo. Easy to use. Press button and water spray went on carpet. The attachment works well with no effort.. Hate to admit but the water collected from my hall rug was very dirty. Very impressed. Will use again tomorrow.UPDATE.after 2 uses I found it frustrating that the clean water compartment lid does not come off. I would have liked to have dried it rinsed it after use and left the fill hole open to help it dry out and after a few weeks just found that I have scum like markings inside that i have tried to remove with a long handle bottle brush but wont budge. Looks dreadful so have tried to remove the lid only to find it's tank is sealed. Why on earth does it not have same release lid as the dirty water container. Lovely Amazon lady on phone is contacting manufacturer. I have now been in touch with manufacturer and they are sending out a replacement container.Excellent help from both amazon and Vac

I'll be honest, despite the great reviews and for the cost, I really wasn't expecting too much.From the first use, on a recently shampooed carpet, this little wonder pulled unseen muck that you'd never know was there by eye. The aim was to improve the pile and colour on heavily walked on areas. It did not disappoint! The carpet looks as new.The cleaner is easy to fill/empty/clean and has a good stretch of hose and power cord.Everything stores away neatly and the instructions are easy to understand. The added bonus of a decent sized shampoo is included and this goes a VERY long way.I can't recommend this machine highly enough.Previous expensive upright shampooer did not remove as much as this!I've also ordered the same brand bagless upright vacuum as my existing (again brand leading powerhouse) is getting elderly. I hope its as good as this little cleaner!If you have pets this spot cleaner is a must!

I've had my eye on this for a while and the price dropped a bit on Black Friday so I went for it. It's more powerful than it's competitors, hence why I wanted this one, and it doesn't disappoint. Although it's supposed to be a spot cleaner/for small areas, I've done the whole house carpets, rugs and sofas with it with amazing/slightly sickening results albeit at the expense of my wrists, knees and spine. My only criticism is that the larger attachment head is, annoyingly, significantly less good than the smaller one. It sprays a lot of water out but it doesn't suction back up anywhere near as much water as the smaller head - the removal of the water is the most important part of the whole process so I've given up on that large attachment head and I'll just use the smaller one from now on. Couple of reviews mention it's not suitable for using on full rooms... It is, it's great, it's just that it takes a lot of time and effort to do full rooms, but that's the offset of not having to store a huge upright machine in your home. This one packs up super small and easy to store.

I am thrilled with this carpet cleaner; it is of better value and has higher power and functionality than some similarly specced higher brand names. I like that you get two sizes of cleaning head tools, and the most essential feature for me is that the clear plastic cover on the cleaning head is detachable so the muck and hair can be cleaned and removed easily, this is a very important feature especially if you have pets, not many other similar products have this feature. My previous Bissel machine did not have the removable cover and it was impossible to clean the muck and hair out if the cleaning head, eventually rendering the machine useless.

I bought this model after contemplating another make that has been advertised on tv recently but seemed to get a few negative reviews. This is totally brilliant. Suffice to say we are getting a second rescue dog in a couple of weeks and , as he has lived on the streets for at least a year, he is not guaranteed house trained. Having to fetch my big carpet shampooer out of the garage and assemble it previously for pet accidents is really tedious so thought we would give it a go. I am thrilled with it. My neighbour's new rescue puppy threw up on my rug , so after scooping up the majority of it, used this spot cleaner and it cleaned up in seconds. I have also used it to shampoo the stair carpet as the large one is too cumbersome, again , great results. It's list of uses is endless. Car mats, sofa arms and seats, small area rugs etc. Don't expect it to do large areas in one go though, it isn't what it is designed for. you would have to refill/ empty a few times and rest it periodically. you would also be on your knees , which for me is not something I like to do for prolonged periods. Use it for what it is designed for and you will be as thrilled with it as I am.
