Q: Should the freezer be room temperature (empty of food and allowed to warm) for the adhesive to work/bond?

I would not apply adhesive to a very cold item. Adhesives have to "set". Just my opinion and I am not an expert. There are epoxies that work in wet environments. Ask google.

Q: can you use this to repair a refrigerator liner or is it too flexible? Have a round crack about the size of a quarter on the bottom front of the frig

I think its a strong and durable bond, but caulk on a flat surface is iffy if you can't support it from behind. I have used it as a coating to repair dishwasher racks, and it's messy but holding up beautifully.

This was not as expected, I was disappointed with this product
