I wanted to re-staple some old 'pocket libraries' of 60 to 64 pages ('War Picture Library,' 'Sexton Blake Library,' etc.) where the original staple had completely rusted through, and feared that I would have to spend a considerable amount of money on a new stapler and staples for such a specialised job, but no, all that I needed, and all that you will need for similar jobs, is just one box of these staples, which work, or should work, with pretty much any stapler already in your possession. The specification of 24/8mm means that the staples are slightly thicker, and therefore stronger than similar staples, and the depth of 8mm, as opposed to the more common 6mm, means that they will go through more pages. I was able to re-staple my 'pocket libraries' with no problems whatsoever. One final point, be careful not to confuse 'pages' with 'sheets.' A sixty-four page booklet is comprised of sixteen sheets, printed on both sides and then folded over to give thirty-two sheets to be stapled through, and sixty-four pages of text. At first I was looking for a stapler and staples that would staple sixty-four sheets, until it finally dawned on me that I only needed to be able to staple thirty-two sheets, and I already owned a couple of generic staplers.

This cardboard box leaves you with a copious supply of 5000 6mm staples. We had to re-stock our colorful junior desktop stapler as our children staple a lot during their frequent craft sessions.Apparently, according to the listing page, these are of top-quality galvanised steel wire staples with a chisel point! Not sure what that means but they are ok. While fine for our children’s purposes, the length of these staple’s legs is limited so I’m not sure they can bind more than 15 sheets of paper, depending on the paper thickness and strength of the stapler.But quite pleased with the price and quantity.

Staples are good and strong and go through many sheets of paper.The box they come in is not taped so when its chucked into an amazon jiffy bag it ends up opening and spilling its contents throughout which breaks the long staple lengths into loads of small one which is a pain.
