Arrived faster than expected, smaller than expected which is good. Got this to take on any wilderness adventure. I always carry some form of emergency signalling device and my go to for years has always been an inshore flare combo of orange smoke, red burner and pen flares, the downside to them is a short use by date and a short burn time. I’m keeping the pen flares and combining them with this. It’s simple to use, silly bright and gives off a signal a hell of a lot longer than a combustion flare.

Bit expensive. However, an essential piece of safety equipment when doing any adventure training. I have it in my possession when mountain walking (pre lockdown) and now when I go Kayaking.

A compact emergency flare that extends your chances of being identified, especially at night. Small enough to fit in a buoyancy aid pocket & much safer than ‘incendiary’ type flares.

Bought as a Christmas present for my hubby. Was surprise at how small it was and how little it weighted. Just look like a little torch.Hubby is made up with it though.

Husband spent the evening waving this around the garden, it’s very bright, no one rescued him, we locked him out.He’s very happy with the new toy for his grab bag, it’s clearly very easy to use as he never reads instruction manuals.Hopefully we never have to use it for real.Recommend.

Its a compact, and low weight unit rated as a reassuringly long battery lifespan.There LEDs are bright - can't say how far they would be visually attractive in daylight but excellent at night.However I have had to add an external floatation collar as it does not float naturally. -

Excellent piece of kit, the only drawback could be replacing the battery pack, as I don't seem to be able to find out how much it would be, the manufacturer does sayt it would be replaced in a m o b situation free of charge
