So happy that I took a chance and purchased these.
Instructions weren't exactly clear. But assembly wasn't complicated. I'm a single female with limited DIY skills and no help, so I was concerned when reading some of the reviews stating that the holes were not pre-drilled, where the screws in the handle go. So that was the first thing I checked when I unpacked it and the holes were there. So no problem there. Then my next concern was reports of screw holes not lining up exactly. But everything lined up fine. I just should have paid more attention to which size screws went where. That was my fault. Because the instructions actually did address when to use the small, medium, or large screws. When I ended with putting the handle together, Somehow I had used the shorter screws that I needed, already, and was only left with longer screws. That meant that the little caps to put on the end of the screws weren't able to screw completely on and tighten up. But luckily those little caps were not one piece and as I kept tightening the little Dome part popped off. Sorry I do not know the correct technical terms for this piece. I believe it was a nut, but there was a cap on it . The stairs won't be used frequently. So I'm not concerned about anybody scratching themselves on the longer screws sticking out. If I was, I would just use a little foam or tape or something to cover the ends up. I was not going to take it back apart and use the correct screws in the correct places. It was fine the way it was now. After everything was put together and all the screws tightened, the stairs are very solid and not wobbly at all. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I just needed stairs to put outside of a door at my home that is never used. Prior to me buying my home, someone had torn the stairs down from that door. I'm guessing they were planning on putting a window there, because that is my eventual plan. The home already has another back door and this one just seems to be an unneeded extra. The insurance company wanted stairs there, for safety reasonss. So if someone needed to use it or accidentally goes out that door, they wont fall down the approx 2 feet to the ground. So now, there are stairs with a handrail there. My insurance is happy and I'm happy. I'm thinking about spray painting them Gray to match my house a little better. They took me about 55 minutes to put together and that was just due to some trial and error on where certain things go like the braces, etc, Due to the unclear instructions. But I was ultimately able to figure it out. I believe my instructions only addressed one set of the braces and I was confused why I had four pieces of metal to be used as braces, but was able to quickly figure out that they went on the other step. The steps were very solid with just the one set of bracing but after adding the second set, it was definitely even more solid. I was nervous due to the reviews being all over the place. But I took a gamble and I am very pleased with these stairs. They were exactly what I needed at a reasonable price and an easy DIY project that I could do on my own. If I had hired someone to just build to stairs there, it would have cost me hundreds of dollars. And I just would have had to have had them torn down in the future when I finally got to doing that part of my home. I do love that the handrail could be put on either side and you can also buy an additional handrail and have handrails on both sides. I have a camper and if in the future I want to use them for my camper, they will work perfectly. Or if after I get my home reno completed and don't need them, I can just pass them on to the next person and I'm not out a whole bunch of money.

Fantastic steps for use with our Shed (sometimes missing parts)
We purchased these stairs for use with a shed. The height was almost exactly what we needed. We just dug channels for the base bars and used a bit of concrete to secure in place. We didn't use the hand rail that came with it because it would be in the way of the shed doors. Before we put the concrete down, as we walked up and down, it started moving. I realized that I had missed the washers. Don't skip that. We basically took every screw out and added a washer. Then it still loosened a bit as using it again. I tightened again and some of the washers even bent a bit (not very strong). After that, it was very sturdy and we added a bit of concrete and gravel to the base to secure to the ground and it has been secure for several months. I don't know if moving it around regularly without locking it to the ground, if it would stay strong and stable. Now with the concrete, hopefully they don't get loose.Update: The steps on the shed have held up great, so we bought another set for our camper, as we needed something larger, more stable and with a handrail. When I finally went to assemble, we were missing the brace bars that are necessary for assembly. That was so disappointing. At least, we still had a few days left to exchange. The new ones included all parts, but I wonder if the ones that I returned will be sold as is to a new customer. We are very pleased now with the new steps on the camper with the hand rail on the left side.

steps sturdy, handrail too low
The steps are very sturdy, the railing - not so much. It's a little too low, especially when going down the steps, and a little on the thin side. The rail should be 34" high

Rv steps used for pool steps
Bought these to use as steps outside of my pool to get to the steps inside my pool. Super sturdy for elderly adults with knee injuries, super stable for someone who doesn't stand well or has difficulty climbing ladders.

Incomplete instructions. Parts missing.
Triangle support bars wrere missing on arrival (possibly lost in shipping as the box had a sizable hole in it). Incomplete and inaccurate assembly instructions, but simple enough to logic it out. Sone design flaws that create a less stable structure. Keeping it as my need for this outdoor step rig is temporary, but wouldn't recommend it or buy it again.
