These are very sturdy and come with adjustable spike feet. There is also the option of removing the spikes from the feet if you wish as the spike part screws out of the main foot itself.On the top of each stand you have the option of upturned spikes to sit your speaker on, or self adhesive rubber feet.The front tube section has cutouts top and bottom for keeping cables tidy though these are on the rear of the tube and not the underside of the stand itself so you will still see cable going into the stand at the very bottom and it trailing to the speaker at the top. It just saves it dangling loose down the back of the stand. Useful if your speakers will not be stood back to a wall and likely to be walked past.Assembly is straight forward with six bolts per stand and the four screw in feet. Allen key is supplied.The finish is a matt powder coat (I bought the black ones) texture of very fine sandpaper. These stands are now an old design and are not really suitable for easy sand filling. The main columns are resonant and need stuffing with bubble wrap or anything that will damp the ringing. In use the stands are very sturdy, quite heavy, and give good support for larger stand mount speakers. The stands look neat and when bedded down on the spikes provide good front/back stability for speakers [which is their purpose]. They are strongly built and will provide just as good support as many newer single column stands. Given that [for example] branded KEF stands cost around £400, the Mission stands are very good value for money and do a good job.

Given the good reviews about quality i was surprised when I came to put them together and found the threads in the spikes were not complete meaning they could not be screwed into the base. This was the case with 2 out of the 8 spikes. I contacted the seller but got no response. I ended up cutting the threads myself. Clearly they have some quality issues so you need to hope you don’t get a bad set. Once Put together they are very sturdy.

These look and sound great with my new Mission LX-2 speakers.

I bought these for my son for his apartment, which is brimming with "sounds, x boxes" etc and things I do not understand but look very sophisticated...............and they definately had the thumbs up! Easy to assemble, although much heavier than I anticipated.
