Computer connected USB-C cable is short
This versatile hub will suit most users' needs. It has all the necessary connections for a dual-monitor setup with extra ports for a camera, speaker or else. The only problem I encountered was that I wanted to mount it outside or under my desk so It would not clutter my desk. The supplied the computer cable, which was too short for it. I think it is a foot long.I was not able to make any of the existing USB-C cables I have to work on. I have complete data and charge-only cables. None would supply power and drive two monitors for my Mac. Have to be something proprietary to Anker. I also was not able to find a longer cable from Anker for this hub. Full transparency - I haven't contacted Anker about this problem yet. So, your mileage may be wary.

Recommend It, But...
I also have Anker 553 Usb-C hub, it has similar I/O options with this one except this one has extra Usb-C, which I needed. Usb cable is not fixed, which is great but you need a cable that can transfer video if you need replacement. Not any Usb-C cable will work.553 model is more compact and that one is plug and play, you don't need any additional drivers. This one requires a driver to be installed, so if you need this for work computer and it is restricted, you will need to contact your IT department. If you don't want that, get the 553 model.Note : Both model's PD port does not charge Legion 7 laptop. Other features are functional.

You can't stream most video content using this. Then the port stopped working after 6 weeks.
The main issue is that one of the HDMI ports just stopped working less than 2 months after it was purchased. Before that it worked, but with limitations. Using a new macbook air (M4) I was able to use dual monitors, but could not stream video from most services (Netflix, Hulu, etc.). I could get some to work by changing chrome settings but most would not work even then. Changing the settings made other software not work. So everytime I wanted to use certain adobe software I had to manually change the settings and couldn't stream anything until I finished working in Adobe. I got rid of the tv in my office because I used the second monitor as a tv when I wanted to stream anything so this was a huge issue. Now it's not an issue at all because the port is fried.

Too high maintenance
Updated to 3 stars. Anker support came through and issued a replacement within one day of shipping the defective unit back. This is a high maintenance dock. It frequently decides for itself which of the two external displays it wants to show. I found it unreliable on both the Mac mini m4 and the MBP M3. The return window is closed otherwise I would return this Anker dock. The Apple HDMI adapter is a better buy if you want the adapter to always work without reboots, recabling, etc.

So far so good
**Update**This still works beautifully a few weeks in, no issues whatsoever. It doesn't get overly warm (like I would say it's mildly warm at most). After reading further, there is nothing nefarious about the screen recording message. Overall I'm happy with the ability to work on two monitors on my Mac.---Well, after reading many reviews on desktop docs for MacBook I planned on this one. This is my initial impression of the doc so far and I'll come back to update later as I get used to it.I have a 2019 Intel MacBook Pro 15" that I wanted to use with dual monitors. This dock, so far, fits the bill. I'm connected via hdmi for both screens and the dock works as expected with the software download. I also have a Webcam and wireless keyboard connected via USB to the dock so I can work with the lid closed. My only concern is with the software download. At no time do I want anyone to have the ability to 'record' my screen without my consent. I have emailed anker to see if they can find another software provider which will perform the same but, you know, protect my privacy.

Best features
Pros:- The power-in is a USB-C cord, so you can use your laptops power supply instead of the big bulky custom ones that come with other hubs. In my case, I used my MacBook charger, which is nicer and could get a longer USB-C cord to get this to the wall.- The Upstream Port (connect to laptop), is also a USB-C port, so you can use a longer USB-C cable. Other hubs have the upstream port connected to the hub (and they are short). But with a longer cable and this slim design, I can hide the hub behind my monitor.Cons:- Only has HDMI, no Display Ports.- Probably could use another USB-C input or two. I'd gladly sacrifice the Micro SD port for this. Who uses Micro SD ports these days?

If you only want it to work for 4 months, it's OK.
I'm very upset that it stopped projecting onto 2 monitors after 4 months! I don't even use it daily, but when I need it, it's essential and very disturbing that it just stopped.
