Good if the battery doesn't fail
Failed battery with 6 months. I was very pleased with this until it stopped working. I thought there was a problem with the charging base which I thought with it being on the floor and having a dog may have been damaged on my end. (My dog is not a chewer and has not damaged anything in our home in 8 years, other than pulling on a rug a couple of times). I gave it the benefit of the doubt because it was top rated by consumer reports and had the Hoover name.I started to file information with Hoover but they asked me for information I didn't have. We put the item in the climate controlled garage and used our other cleaning methods we were using before we got this as a nicety.Out of sight, out of mind and I forgot to file a report. I saw the item and thought maybe I can just get a charger for the battery and it will be working again. Spent money on that. The charger showed it as a failed battery. Replacement battery is $80. I'm not throwing any more money away in this crap. A rechargeable battery should last longer than 6 months with moderate use.Definitely not worth the money.

Doesn't Work as described. Doesn't clean floors PLEASE READ
Let me start by saying power is not an issue because I bought the corded model. Worked the first time straight out of the box. Every attempt since it has not. The machine has 8 streams that are supposed to wet the microfiber cleaning roller which spins against the floor. Dirty water is sucked into the tank. When using it after the first time, the roller is wet ONLY where the water jets dispense against the roller, leaving wet lines where the roller turns against the floor. The roller is NOT getting wet enough to clean the floor. I removed the roller and squeezed the trigger to watch the jets, only 4 were working and at a trickle, leaving a track of wet lines (see attached pic). Amazon will not refund me, so I called Hoover having done the warranty registration after I rec'd it. It took 3 days for Hoover to return my call. Customer service rep was great-I had my pics and videos to show a malfunctioning machine. They shipped a replacement after I proved I destroyed the old machine. The new machine performs the same - wet lines, dry roller, floors are not getting clean. I am out over $200. One more thing of note - the "boost" feature is the roller spinning faster. It doesn't press or rub the floor any harder so I still have to manually clean any stubborn spots. I had high hopes and twice am left disappointed. I just want my $ back.

It's great when it works
This thing works great if you have a non-carpeted house for keeping everything tidy. After a couple of weeks of use, we noticed for the first time since we moved into this very old rental home that we didn't get the dark residue on our feet that is common in hardwood homes. Our cat had fewer skin issues, really great... And then the problems began. At this moment, I have 3 Streamlines in my house that are broken and am awaiting contact from Hoover for what I assume will be another replacement. I keep the old ones for parts, which has proven to be wise.Hoover customer service WILL honor your 3 year warranty, but only if you can get ahold of them. The call center closes at 3 CST and is only open week days.I will also say I have most of the other OnePWR appliances and have had positive experiences with them. The upholstery cleaner spray trigger likes to stick and the stick vacuum head has a spot of exposed tubing that is easy to break against furniture and that's it, they work fantastic otherwise and are a great help for keeping the house clean... I just can't really recommend the Streamline until/unless they fix the computer/sensor related issues.

Best thing yet for laminate floors.
This Hoover hard surface vacuum is the perfect solution for laminate floors. It seems to be a quality product that should last for a long time. The self-cleaning feature is a real plus, just push a button when you're through and it cleans itself. You can't beat that.

Returned for a refund
I bought this because it was Consumer Reports' top pick for this type of device. I did find it relatively easy to assemble and set up, and I DID like how it cleaned--WHEN I could get it to work! The problem was, I kept getting brush roll errors, signifying something was preventing the brush roll from operating properly. That meant stopping to check and reseat the brush roll, which is time consuming if it happens every 1-3 minutes. Just a light bump against a baseboard was often enough to set it off again. I found myself steering clear of the baseboards to avoid problems so I could work, which of course was unacceptable because those areas weren't getting cleaned. After a couple of uses, trying various things to fix the problem, I concluded I must have a lemon, with a defective brush roll assembly. And this is a Hoover, which in my experience doesn't make good products. That meant the problem would probably just get worse. I decided the machine was too much hassle to work with, so I'd probably not use it much, and I'd spent too much money on it to use it as an expensive doorstop. So... Back it goes! Here's another thing. I still had the original box and packaging, BUT I couldn't figure out how to get the handle off to get it reboxed properly. There's probably a hidden pin somewhere that you push to release it, as for other Hoover models, but I couldn't find any information for it. So, I had to do my best to kinda sorta tape it up in its box with the handle sticking out, and then attach a note explaining the problem. Thankfully, UPS did take it anyway.

Good but left streaks.
This product did a nice job cleaning and the price is right. I did not like that it left streaks after cleaning. I also had concerns with other reviews. It seems like there are some quality control issues. Unfortunately reviews for the corded and cordless intermix so its hard to figure out which model is having the issues.
