Perfect for DIY Highlights – Worked Like a Charm!I spent hours searching for a hair highlighting kit that includes both developer and powder bleach for DIY highlights—and this one was exactly what I needed. I also bought foil separately to get that salon-style effect.After watching about 20 YouTube tutorials, I finally went for it. I didn’t use the cap included in the kit—instead, I handpicked very thin slices of hair for a more natural look. It worked perfectly! The result was even better than I expected.

I have been using this for years to give myself face-frame highlights. I am able to get two highlightings out of the box. I have mid-brown hair and have to leave the product on for 50 minutes to get the result I want (even with using the hairdryer every 5 minutes). I do have a problem with the shape of the cap which doesn't conform to the top of my head, but I have been able to buy caps which fit better, so I'm satisfied overall.

Great product. I don't use the cap, I just go free style with the hi lites. Very affordable and works perfectly as long as you watch the time.

Ok so it worked on my medium brown hair to highlight blonde but I seriously hate the cap. I ended up pulling it off after trying to pull my hair through for over 30 minutes and just tried to highlight strands on my own. Worked well enough but it was messy, consistency of toothpaste and dries quickly on hair. Now I left it on for 70 minutes and most of the red brassiness was gone but my hair was banana yellow. Luckily I bought a toner to use after and that helped to get it looking better but not perfect. But since I did thicker strands maybe they were just more noticeable? Or maybe I should have left it on 90 minutes. Anyway I bought a Loreal medium ash blond color to apply to them the next day since ash also tones down brassiness, and voila - perfect. So if you’re willing to go a few extra steps (for medium brown hair) and definitely get a toner/ash color, then this is a good product. Oh and I like that you can mix a small amount to do a test strand first to preview your results. Many coloring products don’t have that option. No burning or allergic reaction but it is bleach so apply it in a well ventilated room because the smell is strong.

Best ever for highlights that are for effect and not whole head. Easy on your hair and the color is magnifique. LOVE THIS PRODUCT.

Never used to add highlights but after trying this product and the component I have been receiving, will continue.

I mixed up all the products together to find out it only filled up a quarter of the tub! I had to make it work/last. Fortunately I have short hair. It also didn’t come with the plastic wrap for over the head. So I put Saran Wrap around my head! What a day! Ugh It turned out ok only because I’ve lighten my own hair all the time.

Highlights my hair perfectly. I have long hair and put a few highlights in after I dye it one color - just enough to do what I need it to do. I don't even use the cap, just put in on strands of hair and it does its thing.
