I don't use sunscreen anywhere except my face. I have an organic tinted moisturizer that is so crunch, it only comes in 2 colors. Since it doesn't totally match my face, I've always diluted it with something like a Living Libations oil or other moisturizer, maybe a sunscreen if it's peak summer. As I am now in my 30s I want to be a little more proactive about skincare. I'm of the belief that we evolved with the sun and it's good for us, but it can have a side effect of wrinkles. So long story short, I like having a mild amount of protection on my face. This stuff is perfect, I mix it 50/50 with my tinted moisturizer, and it makes my skin look so good. It doesn't cover up my skin, but it gives a slight smoothing effect and makes my pores less noticeable. It does the same thing on its own, I'm just in the habit of adding a little tinted moisturizer to my face to make me feel more put together for the day.

Perfect size to bring on my trip to do the Camino de Santiago. Size and function matter on a trip like that because you carry everything for 40 days. The natural ingredients were perfect for my sensitive skin. A little went a long way and protected me during my 4-8 hour walking days in the sun.

But this mix I got was a little beady. Of course the hard little bits melt in my warm palms when I rub together, then rub on face. But I’d like my next batch to be completely smooth.I Know it has to do with the blending when being poured. But i just like smooth.

Very nice product, smooth consistency, and works well at preventing sunburns. A little goes a long way so apply as small dabs and rub in. Additionally, if you leave the jar in the sun the tallow will melt and separate from the minerals easy to fix with some stirring and let it cool off.

OK, so I have super sensitive skin when it comes to the sun every other sunscreen seems to sweat away or just not work. It seems like I’m basically a vampire getting constant sunrash and sunburn. THIS STUFF RIGHT HERE IS STRAIGHT UP MAGIC!It’s super thick long blasting doesn’t have that weird chemical smell to it that sunscreen typically has, I barely have to reapply throughout the day AND I can put it on previously burnt skin and it seems to actually help heal/moisturizeIf you’re even considering I would completely recommend picking this up along with any other products from Vanman!

I really wanted to like this product for 2 reasons: 1. It’s expensive! 2. Few ingredients which is what I was looking for in a sunscreen.However, product is even smaller than I expected, and so difficult to apply. Even after attempting to rub in thoroughly, it looks like a chunky paste on my skin.

I wanted to love this since I really like tallow but I tried it twice, both times I had horrible sunburns, the 2nd time I peeled. I live in Florida so I get that the sun is intense, but I can wear SPF 4 and not get burned like i did with this. It's real thick and hard to spread and leaves a white cat that doesn't go away. Didn't smell like meat but also did not smell good from the jar or after an hour in the sun.
