It can be a bit messy with lots of wires to hide however, it does seem to work pretty well

worth a try
Sadly it did not work for my portable air conditioner as I housed it in a box outside and wanted this repeater to be able to operate it from inside.I cant say that the unit didnt work as it was designed for tv/video ect and not for other Ir products but it was worth a try!

Poor receiver.
Unfortunately this product did not work. The infrared receiver only receives the IR signal when you bring the remote control up close (about 50 cm or closer).

Great little device
perfectly simple answer to add remote control to a hidden sky box! some fiddling to find where the receiver is on the front of the sky box, but as for the device - perfect!
