I bought the 12-pack because, let’s face it, these batteries are like socks—always disappearing when you need them. The price was right, and I figured, “How bad can they be?” (Spoiler alert: the answer involves minor blood loss.)Let’s start with the packaging. Each battery is individually hermetically sealed in a hard plastic prison—on BOTH SIDES. There’s no helpful perforation, no “Easy Open” tab, not even a desperate “Good Luck!” from the manufacturer. Just pure, unadulterated clamshell carnage. The only way in? A sharp box cutter, nerves of steel, and a willingness to sacrifice an hour (and possibly a fingertip or two) to the battery gods.By the time you’ve freed all 12 batteries, you’ll have built character, calluses, and possibly a new appreciation for Zen meditation. I’m convinced the packaging was designed by the same people who make bank vaults and oyster shells.As for the batteries themselves: They work!…for a while. If your device needs juice for longer than a couple of months, you’ll get more mileage out of your time spent opening the package than you will from the batteries themselves. But hey, they’re cheap!
