saw works great
Great saw. Good price for quality saw.

IDK what I'm talking about.
I needed a body saw, and spent way too much time comparing the known-quantity IR part with all the clone import parts that were considerably less expensive. In the end, complaints of jamming blades, noise, and vibration pried the money from my hands for the IR tool. I can't say whether it's the *best* option but it's a great tool. Very quiet, very little vibration, and very comfortable to use. I needed it for some work in tight quarters, and it's small and compact enough to go most anywhere. The included blades worked great and seem durable. Could I have gotten the job done for less? Maybe. Do I regret buying a name brand tool that works perfectly? Nope.

Stalling issue
Randomly stalls out but other than that it's a great saw

air saw
Extremely happy with this unit. I am not sure why I had not replaced by old unit sooner.

Best air body saw on the market.
This is a replacement for an older IR air saw. Same model as my old one.

Fantastic Air Tool
If I could give it six ****** I would. I don't know if it was just that I tried to use two of these from HF, or what exactly, but when this arrived it was with a huge amount of apprehension that it would just be another HF type dog. I am so happy I was wrong! I couldn't be more worng! This thing works like it's supposed to!! It is just fantastic. I don't know why those cheap clones couldn't get it right, but I have no doubt this is destined to be one of my favorite bodywork tools. I put the coarse blade in it (6 came with it, 2 coarse, 2 medium, and two fine) and let it loose on a piece of 16 gauge scrap steel. I was expecting another HF experience where it behaves more like a butter knife taped to a vibrator that quits the moment it comes in contact with anything. Not so! It cut through steel like that was its destiny. The HF model... I could stop it with my fingers. This one just almost seems unstoppable. The best part is because it's an air tool it blows debris out of the way, it's free of electrical hazard, and it's convenient in my shop (I don't have to look for another outlet). And it's pretty safe. I would really have to work at it to cut myself with it. Can't say enough good about it.

This thing rocks!
I have a small fab shop and we build hot rods....one at a time. This is my first air recip. saw. How the hell did I ever do without one? With the fine tooth blades it will make a very fine clean cut. It removes much less material vs. a thin 3-5 inch cutoff wheel. I just used it last night to cutout an old rotted 31 Model A rear inner fender well. About 2.5 feet of gently curing cuts. Butter.....nothing but butter. Its easy to guide and keep on your marks. Cuts quick even with the fine metal blade. This is a nice and precise cutting tool. Quality fit and finish are very good. I went with a brand name for a few bucks more but not the high end heavy duty version. Typically the extra few bucks will get you more efficient air use I have found. The bottom of the line Chinese tools often gobble air but don't have as much power. My test was on 18 gauge cold rolled. I think it would cut 16 just fine but seriously, this is not a cutoff tool. Its for sheet metal or the hard to get at bolt that needs chopping. Don't be thinking your gonna cut eighth inch 2x4 box tube. Get a real Sawzall or chop saw. OH, this thing is also quiet compared to every other air tool we own. It has a nice happy buzz and does not chuck metal shards at your face like a cutoff tool. Love it....
