Three year old couldn't be happier!
My daughter is tiny, so the thin arms and slight waist were a perfect fit for her! She absolutely loves the outfit and was so delighted to wear it this Halloween. The hat is tricky, just two small loops to figure something out - we used a glittery purple headband through the loops and the hat stayed in place with no issue. The quality is of typical Halloween costumes - not the best or for every day wear - but it was very much worth the price to see how excited my daughter was to wear this!

... buy it for my 3yo birthday party despite multiple bad reviews because I couldn’t find a better costume
I’ve decided to buy it for my 3yo birthday party despite multiple bad reviews because I couldn’t find a better costume. The quality is what I expected for the price. My daughter played for hours and it did not tear apart. Quality is similar to most Halloween costumes. It is beautiful! Several moms asked where I bought this costume.Regarding size: MY daughter is tall (approximately 98cm, and 15.5kg). I bought a medium and was big on her but the small size would probably be too small.

The most bizarre sizing, and seams rip easily. Nicely full skirt though.
My daughter has now owned two sizes of this dress. It comes with a hat as shown in the picture, which in both sizes was ridiculously small and completely impractical for an actual child to wear. (A small doll, perhaps, could wear it.)My child is not oddly proportioned. When we received the first dress as a gift, the torso fit her reasonably well, but the sleeves tapered to such a small diameter at the wrist that we essentially had to cut the arms off to a cap sleeve length in order to make it work. Although the torso was not too tight, on at least three occasions I had to sew long sections where the front purple and white V-shaped panel had torn away from the yellow bodice. Despite its shortcomings, my daughter loved to wear this dress almost every day because it would "twirl up" as she said. It is a nice, full skirt. When the first dress got so ratty that I couldn't handle it anymore, I ordered the next size up hoping the first dress's sizing and quality issues had been a fluke. They weren't. It was fairly big for my daughter, so I took up the length a few inches. The torso is big, but one full side of the V-shaped panel has already ripped out and had to be sewn back to the bodice. I also had to fix a separate ripped-out seam in another part of the bodice. Since the dress is large on her, the sleeves are wide enough to permit my daughter's hands to pass through the full length of them, but they are also too long and fairly snug near the wrist. Since the fabric has no give, the sleeves can't be pushed up more than an inch or two. I have managed to fold them up a bit, but the fabric is slippery, so they don't stay. I'd probably be better off cutting some length away and re-hemming the sleeves. If my daughter hadn't loved the skirt of this dress so very much, I wouldn't have bothered trying a second size of it. If your child wants to be a princess but doesn't have her heart set on something absolutely Dora-specific, I would recommend checking out the dresses from Little Adventures. In desperation one day I ordered about five of them, since every single day all day had to be a princess day for my two girls. We have had dresses from at least six different manufacturers now, and the Little Adventures ones have shown the fewest quality problems. They're not perfect (some iron-on type embellishments came off in the washer on one dress, and I've had a little bit of fraying of tulle at a waist seam in another of the dresses), but with them I've not experienced seams tearing out after a single wearing like I did with this Dora dress and a few of the others we tried. I like that the Little Adventures dresses emulate those worn by some of the very popular characters, but are not officially branded in any way.

Two Stars
Youngest loved it but it fits small and is very poor quality. Ripped after being worn twice

Beautiful costume, but runs small. Not enough stretch for kids.

My daughter is 18 months and the arms and through the chest is pretty snug, and she is pretty average sized
Dress is cute, but definitely made on the small side. My daughter is 18 months and the arms and through the chest is pretty snug, and she is pretty average sized. The hat has no way to stay on though? There's no chin strap or anything, so I'm not really sure how it would work on anyone. I am hoping to come up with a way to make it work.

dont waste your money
Cheaply made costume. The thing ripped at all the seams within hours! My daughter is very petite (like 5th percentile small) and her 3t dress fit ok, but within a few hours of wearing it it was torn in multiple places. Also the hat comes with no stop to keep it on. Just two tiny loops for what I'm assuming is for hair pins. Not the best idea for little ones! Licking she had just enough hair to pin it to.

Not stretchy material
Wow this costume does not stretch at all. You should order way bigger than expected. My daughter usually wears a small but I should of ordered a medium. She busted out of this in 3 different places before the night was over.
