Nice knives, shame about the 'holder'
Nice brightly coloured and useful knives. Shame about the block/holder which, in my opinion, is quite 'tacky' in appearance and therefore will NOT be used in this house/our home!

Beautiful set
These really brighten up the kitchen and stay pretty sharp with the aid of a sharpener. Easy to see in the acrylic block and easy to grab the right one for the right job. Probably great for defending yourself from a burglar, too, though I haven't actually tried that. They give me confidence that I could defend myself from, say, a wild raccoon entering the kitchen.

Very good for the price
These knives have the look of a more expensive set, but are priced very competitively. I found they were good and sharp, have nice handles and cut well, but they feel too lightweight. This is the real giveaway that they are cheap - they’re just not weighty enough. I have been using them for a few months now and haven’t had to sharpen them. Really very good for the price.

Very good value
I really like this knife set. They are very sharp and make slicing very easy. . The colours of the handles are just fantastic and really give your kitchen a designer look. The knife block, it's really just a contemporary looking box to keep it in and not a proper knife block but at this price I certainly would not complain. As a basic starter set and as long as you are not a chef, I think this is excellent value for money for most people.

£30 is a lot to live up to...
An RRP of £30 puts these in the high bracket of cheap knife blocks. As usual you get five blades in the standard shapes. The handles are colour coded and soft-touch, matte not glossy. The acrylic block looks good but isn't great in practice.Pros -Average weight knivesMedium-size blades, good for those with little workspoaceDishwasher safe, although I don't bother with the big onesAttractively colouredCons -The knifeblock is far too light and moves every time it's used, ridiculous designBlades are not sharp enough out of the boxThirty pounds will get you a better set

Pretty Coloured Knives All In A Row
I really like the knives in this set; they are colourful, sharp, and feel solid in the hand. The knives, as you would hope, have no trouble cutting through stuff, and certainly feel as though they'll last a long time.I'm not so keen on the knife block - it's a nice design for showing off your blades, but it'll just be taking up essential workspace, so I expect it won't be used.Overall, I'm happy with this - the knives are great and recommended for that.

A Little Disappointing
Its a nice looking set of knives. Consisting of the basic knives needed in just about any kitchen. That's to say a bread knife, a pairer, a carver, a chef's knife and a utility knife. If you're after a basic set of knives these are worth considering. However for me, while there are some good points, about this set, The are also one or two not so positive aspects, which may or may not be important to other buyers. The good points are:Nice soft handles that feel good in my hand. The knives are not overly long or overly heavy so are easily manipulated in use.In the block they only take up a small footprint on the kitchen worktop. The knives are dishwasher safe. The not so great points for me are:The acrylic block is very lightweight and so shifts around whenever remove or insert a knife. If they had just made the base heavier this wouldn't be an issue. The knives themselves were very blunt when I received them. Unusable really. Luckily I have a sharpener. But had to spend a good while getting them into working condition. All the above considered for the money they aren't too bad, just disappointing. If your willing to tolerate the lightweight block and their initial bluntness they could well be just the knives for you.
