So easy to set up. Sharpens far better than Indian stone.

So far this is looking like a good value purchase. I’ve had it for a day and successfully sharpened all my blunt chisels and a couple of pairs of scissors and knives. The chisel clamp and template guide work pretty well but the scissors and knives I had to do free-hand as there is no clamp for them. They were a bit hit and miss to be honest but I did manage to sharpen my blunt garage scissors enough so they cut well. Pretty easy to assemble and get going, the grit stone is out of true by about 1mm but seems to be good enough for my amateur needs. The leather strop seems to be ok although never having used one before it was a bit of trial and error, as per the instructions I coated it with motor oil and used the honing paste provided. Having looked at it after I’ve finished my initial trials there is a small damaged area, maybe user error but I’m not sure how long it will last.I watched several review videos so it seems depending on where you buy it determines what is supplied so just to be clear this unit does NOT come with a knife / scissor holding clamp or a wheel redressing stone. It DOES come with the chisel clamp, grinding template and honing paste.You will want to use it in a surface that doesn’t mind getting wet!Final point, you can’t get a good sharp edge on rubbish steel so don’t expect pound shop chisels to be any good. I’ll be scouring the local boot fair now for Sheffield steel chisels which I can bring back to life with this machine!

The media could not be loaded. Product itself is great for the price, however when it arrived the box was not sealed and it was missing the honing paste. Contacted #scheppach and they sent out a new one within 24 hours. Great product and great service

Early days, but at this moment it's doing exactly what I purchased it for.

This is a really fast and easy way to sharpen chisels and plane blades.

simple to use, high quality fine stone easily gives a stunning edge to chisels, using the included jig. Carving tools always more difficult, but perhaps buy the jig for that too. Water reservoir is easily removed for emptying/cleaning.

Paid too much for what I received, the stone is came cracked but it looks like the manufacturer tried to fix it before it got sent to me, Now when I use it the part where they "fixed" it keeps jumping making it really hard to work with. Overall dissapointed with the quality and would not reccomend this product.
