Great for the xmax 3
What can I say? It’s a decent camera for a decent price that easily hooks right up to my Qidi xmax3 nice camera easy installation and decent video quality.

Works fine, but installation isn't for the non-technical
A required upgrade, but it's a little too complicated of an install for my taste. Qidi should have put a USB or some other port on the inside of the printer to make this easier but instead you end up having to partially disassemble the shell and have to wire the camera yourself around all the moving parts. It also doesn't securely mount to the corner of the enclosure, but as far as cameras go, it does the job and generally stays out of the way.

Works fine
I don't typically write reviews. I left a one star review for this product stating it died inexplicably two days after the return period expired. I have since discovered (after ordering a second camera) that the issue lies somewhere within a config file in the slicer and has nothing to do with the camera.Although I still haven't been able to successfully diagnose the issue, it has nothing to do with the camera itself. That said, the camera performs well, installs easily, has adequate (although not exceptional resolution and framerate), and is a pretty good value for fifty bucks.

Easy to install
Easy to install. Works well. Quality image. Should have come with the printer but. . .oh well.

Needs alterations out of the box
The claims of making a "time-lapse video" apparently requires a different software and where I've had nothing but software and firmware issues (not matching between printer and computer) and I was told not to update either one by "After Sales" at QIDI, so I'm reluctant to download "QIDIStudio" (apparently only where time-lapsed video is possible) and things are currently working for now in "QIDISlicer". I also almost forgot to mention it's necessary to download and print a camera shroud or "hat" otherwise the glare that hits the camera lense from the single (not bright enough to light up the case adequately but too bright for the camera) LED strip is unbearable.

Need light upgrade for better camera quality
The original light that came with my X-Max 3 was awful. I thought it was just a poor-quality camera until I upgraded the lighting in my machine (I've included pictures taken with the camera with both the original and new lighting for reference). Now the picture is so much clearer. I'm glad I didn't just toss this and buy a better camera instead.I love the timelapse function too, it's fun to watch with larger prints.
