Works great

This board has worked perfectly. It has a very fine finish and seems capable of absorbing a great deal of moisture without the slightest harm to the surface. Even fairly damp clay releases from the board and what little does stick is easily removed with a plastic scraper tool. When we got this, we did not have a wedging table and used this board on top of a folding plastic table. That was a noisy mess, but the board allowed it to work for us. I've finished the wedging table now, with a top covered with hessian. I still use this wedging board on top of the new table for really wet stuff or when I need to do some rolling. Anyway, a clear 5-star product that I would buy again in an instant.

The board itself seems like decent quality. I like the size, thickness, and the smooth surface. My issue was the shipping. It came in an enormous box, and when I got to the actual product there was a plastic sleeve that was just sitting on top of it and it had a shipping label with my address on it, so it seems they first attempted to ship it in just the plastic film it's wrapped in (very thin). Upon looking over the board there was a chunk out of one of the corners, and it has obviously been knocked around a bit. I appreciate the safer packaging in the end, but I'm wondering why it was ever attempted to ship in just the plastic in the first place. I'm going to keep the board because it's still usable, but it's pretty lame to buy a new product and then have it come to you broken when it was obviously the original shipper's bad judgement!

I love that it only barely warped after weeks of use with wet clay directly from the bag. I use it for wedging, slab building and when painting underglaze on greenware. I plan to buy another for use with darker clay.

This clay wedging board is fantastic! The sturdy surface makes wedging so much easier, and the built-in handle is super convenient for moving it around. It’s well-made and feels like it’ll last a long time. Definitely a great addition to my pottery setup!
