Realistic Fireman's Fire Axe Prop

I have seen this item online for $89 and gave Amazon one last look before purchasing. Glad I did, it saved me some money. I purchased one ax for our production of Noises Off. As they throw around the ax a lot, it had to be foam. Most people have been scared when the ax is thrown at them, this shows how realistic it is. I was so satisfied with the ax I purchased a second ax to have as backup. The lead times were no where near as long as quoted online. I believe I received the axes in less then two weeks each. My only complaint is with the design of the ax. The rigid piece inside of the handle doesn't extend all of the way to the end of the handle. This makes the last inch of the handle easier to break or tear. Aside from that, by far the best product and deal I have came across in all of my tireless searching for this prop. Thanks you!

I also was looking for an axe for a production of Noises Off. This fit the bill (price wise, and visually) perfectly. Also, I have to commend you on your shipping - Amazon said I'd get it after Christmas, and here it is the eve of Christmas EVE and I've got my beautiful axe a week and a half early - during the holidays.Guys - please, please make more weapons like this and you'll make regional theaters all over the company happy. Props of this caliber by other companies cost 3 times as much, and it's just not possible for smaller regional theaters and community theaters to spend a lot of money on that.Small design suggestion - darker grain on the wood, under stage lights the handle is going to be one solid color.Thanks :)

This axe worked perfectly for our production of Noises Off! Well made and very realistic on the stage, this was a great buy! Prompt shipping, too!

so my son fell in love with the movie Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter and while I can't account for his taste in movies I will say that has been using this to copy the axe spinning and showy maneuvers that they do in the movie. It's actually balanced pretty well for a teen to do that if he wishes.

This was purchased for our production of Noises Off and it is exactly as described. The cutting blade edge is a bit thin and one side of the head has some strange "molding" marks, but I'm hoping the audience won't see that. I did purchase a smaller Woodman ax to use as the stand-in for rehearsal purposes because this one is too expensive for our budget to get a second as a back-up.
