Very good quality and beautiful design
This L'OCCITANE Body Gua Sha has a beautiful design to it and an interesting shape. This is made from a quartz material which is synthetic but contains actual stone and minerals to give it the weight and feel of a natural stone. It has a really interesting shape and nice smooth edges and corners making it a good tool for the job.I use this on its own or with lotion to massage and it has a nice, luxurious feel to it. It comes wrapped in tissue in a nice-looking box so it would be good as a gift. While it is pricier than some, it is on par with other name brand gua shas and L'OCCITANE is a highly regarded company.I do think this would potentially be fragile if you drop it, but I'd also imagine it would be a little more resilient than a natural stone. Overall this is a high-quality gua sha and if you are looking for something high end and don't mind paying a little extra for a name brand, this is a great choice.

Works well, feels premium
This brand usually puts out well-crafted and luxurious higher-end items. This is no different, and for the purpose of gua-sha, maybe overkill. One plus is it feels cooler for longer in my opinion than something like a traditional scraper. The material feels premium and doesn't feel cheap. However, it's more for the applier of the scraper rather than the recipient. Doubt most people on the receiving end of this will be able to tell the difference between this and a normal non-crappy one. This would also make a great stocking stuffer since it's got nice packaging and looks like a good gift. Probably not something I'd buy for myself but I'd certainly gift it to someone who uses this a lot on other people.Overall, a solid product from a good brand. Lots to like. Would recommend it as a gift more so than my own personal use, but I'm easier to please and have lower standards :)

not well packaged
the brand packaging is not sufficient to keep the stone secure. it arrived badly broken.

a beautiful, high-end massage tool
This is a review of L’OCCITANE Body Gua Sha: Stone-Like Massage Tool to Stimulate Skin Micro-Circulation First of all, this massage tool is very attractive. The soft honey yellow color is lovely, and the tool and feels good in the hand. It is a pretty standard gua sha tool shape, so it is similar to a less expensive tool that I already had, though on this one the short edge has three scallops rather than two. I don’t have the special Occitane artichoke body cream, so I use itool with other creams and it works well. In general gua sha is supposed to enhance blood flow, stimulate lymphatic drainage, and promote healing. I believe that massage is relaxing and beneficial, so I like being able to do gentle massage on myself. If you want a high-end gua sha tool, this is a nice one.

Looks and feels great!
This body gua sha both looks and feels great. I love the color and how long this stays cool if you put it in the fridge or freezer before use. I’ve used it with a couple different body oils and it works great alongside both. The massage feels great on legs and I find myself applying extra body oil just to use it longer. I even tried it on my face and it feels just as good as anything meant for the face, though perhaps a little less precise in the area. The shape and size allow for a really easy and solid grip as well. I was surprised when I saw how low the price was due to the quality and brand behind the product. Would definitely recommend!

Luxurious gua sha tool!
I've had a couple gua sha tools in the past, and this one definitely has the most quality, luxurious, high-end feel to it.The first thing I love is the size of it. This is a great size because it's easy to hold in your hands but large in size to work larger muscles in your legs, arms, torso, etc. It is really easy to hold - not too large and not too small. The next thing is that it's a beautiful soft (but deep) yellow color. There are some variations of yellow with some white interspersed, and it's just really pleasing to the eye without being garish. This tool has a rounded edge, a concave edge, a pointed edge, and a scalloped edge, so you can use it for all different ailments or aches, or just for a relaxing massage or lymphatic drainage. It has the brand name printed right on it. In some cases that may bother me, but since it's a well-known and highly-respected name in the beauty industry, I don't find it off-putting to have the name on there. You can stick this in the fridge or freezer for a short time for a cooling effect. Most notable to me was the smooth, matte finish to the stone. My other gua sha stones have always been glossy, and I think this being matte finish makes it glide over the skin more easily, even if you aren't using it with any lotions or oils.I did find it interesting that the stone was packed with a silica gel packet (to keep it from retaining moisture). The instructions on the box also indicate that it needs to be stored in a dry place, which I found interesting. I guess this stone must be absorbent (maybe the lack of a clear/glossy coating on it allows it to absorb moisture?). I would have preffered to store it with the silica gel packet it came with, but unfortunately that packet immediately fell into my wet sink as I was unpacking the stone, and ended up soaking wet itself. Ahh, the irony. At the end of the day, I do think you are paying a little more for the stone because of the name that's printed on it, but also think part of the higher price is for the quality of the product. It's by far the nicest gua sha stone I've ever owned.
