Girlie's 19, "stopped talking" & got depressed after our 1 year old kitten died suddenly, even if they weren't close buddies. She stopped grooming herself properly and her short-medium length fur became badly matted. She never liked hairbrushes even if I tried a variety. It took weeks to remove the tangles, using a scissors and a comb, because brushing was useless until I ordered this brush. It didn't simply get rid of the fur matts but it gradually persuaded her to give in to more matt removal. She's back to grooming herself regularly AND NOW, actually BEGS to be brushed! & this was a feral cat who wouldn't allow any handling whatsoever! Good food, the power of love, time and now this brush?!!! At 19, she's become a whole new kittycat! I wish the handle were 1/2 to 1 inch longer or that the brush-head were either more rounded or football shaped instead of rectangular. But who knows, maybe she likes it because it is rectangular!? Anyway, it's still worth 5+ stars since little old Girlie just can't get enough of this brush plus it's super easy to clean because the bristles retract!

I have no idea why this brush works but it does. My 7 month old husky puppy HATES the brush. Ive tried a few... and he just runs out the room as soon as I bring it out. But this... I have no idea why but I caught him while he was sleeping and just started to slowly brush him with this and to my surprise he didnt run! Not to mention it gets a ton of his loose fur out. I was a groomer for over 10 years so my expectations were high on how well it did it's job but the fact that he seems to LIKE being brushed boggled my mind. Thank you!

Works as described. I love the ease of cleaning AND not hurting my dog’s skin. I do wish this came in a smaller size option so that it’s less scary for her AND I could maneuver it on her underside. She’s a 7pound Papillion truly too big for her size!

This is the best brush EVER!!! I have a Husky and well... you know all about the shedding and drama. She HATES to be brushed. It's always a wrestling match. It's super hard to hold her and brush her then try to get the hair off the brush without her running off! So brushing has become quite a traumatic experience for both of us. She totally tolerated this brush. Didn't fight me as much as she usually does and with the push of a button, the fur releases from the brush with ease. The little round ball on the bristle tips make it easy on her skin and grabs so much fur. I no longer dread brushing her! The quality seems good but it's hard to know until I've had it a while but so far I'm beyond thrilled with it! Great price. Worth EVERY penny.

I was looking for something my cat may like and I saw someone saying “do yourself a favor and buy it” I’m thankful for that comment that made me buy this product. I needed my cat to enjoy brushing so she won’t keep eating hair as she already doesn’t like malt. But this product really made our lives easy because my cat likes it so much and it is 100% easier to use, compared to gloves and regular brushes. Thank you for the makers and for that person who made the review.

Works great! If I’m sitting and hold the brush where my cat can see it, he’ll jump right into my lap and flaunt his coat!! He loves being brushed. The fool cat never learned to clean himself well from his mother so he usually had a very matted coat. This brush gets the mats out and makes him look so much better. Then just retract the tines and the matted fur just falls off the brush.
