Don't lose the books you already own. Great product
As a 14 year veteran of using a earlier version of this product, I found this one to have a bit of a learning curve. However, they provide video lessons that makes it easier to learn. I was most impressed with the step book program that allows you to load any of the books you may have bought in the past into the new program. So if you still have your earlier edition, just put your disk in when prompted and it will find your books and upload them. My older version was Quickverse 6 which I had paid something like $400, some wheres around the year 2000. It came with 3 disks that were in 32 bit format for use in Windows 95, 98 & NT. I inserted the disk into my dvd drive on Windows 7 when prompted for step books and selected the disk drive. It found all my books on that disk and let me down load them from their website. You have to do that for each of the disk you have. So if you have your copy of an older version, they will not charge you again for those books and this product makes it possible to continue using your old library. What a blessing that was. Now, if you don't own a prior version then this is still a great deal. Remember, I said it cost me $400 for my original version? Now that same collection is valued at over $800. Wow, my old books have doubled in value and they provided free updates! If Quickverse 10 is your first experience then what a deal! $20 for all that this product offers. You can always buy books from their website www.wordsearchbible.com. Check it out and see what it will cost to add the books you prefer to have. I also had to call tech support for a small problem and they were great. Helped me find the problem and correct it easily. Overall, this product is Great and a Blessing. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to better study, understand and learn more about your bible.

Very poor product
The font is grainy, the setup is very difficult to work with, the copy and paste features do not work properly; i could only get the chapter and verse reference heading to copy and paste into my notes, not the whole actual verse; it takes a lot of figuring out how to get the actual Bible version you want to open up in the windows, etc., etc. I would say don't waste your money, unless you have nothing except a lot of time and patience. If you can afford it, go with the gold box. That is well worth the money for the ease of use and features. That product's font is professional quality, everything is well set out and very easy to navigate and all the features work perfectly.

Conflicts with other WordSearch and Bible software
Have been unable to recover some Bible software and to resolve problems with others, including QuickVerse, WordSearch 8, e-Sword, Bible Explorer 4, and Lesson Maker 8. I wish I had known that WordSearch had bought QuickVerse before acquiring it. I have been unable to register QuickVerse. WordSearch 8, Lesson Maker 8, and Bible Explorer 4 were unregistered in the attempt to register QuickVerse. My accounts for WordSearch and Bible Explorer have disappeared along with all previously purchased add-on books. Lesson Maker 8 quit working, and e-Sword developed major problems. While QuickVerse is a great bible study product, it is only slightly better than WordSearch 8. Use caution if you have other WordSearch products installed. So far I have been unable to make contact with WordSearch/QuickVerse support to resolve issues.

Good Value for the Money
This software is a pretty good value for the money. It leaves a lot to be desired as far as the Bible versions it contains goes. It lacks the NASB and the NIV which can be ordered as add-ons, but then it begins to lose it's attractiveness of economy. I have used Quick Verse since the first version came out and had in my possession v 4, 6, and 7. Those were far superior in their original content and usability. My favorite was v 4. I would not have ordered this version if I could have gotten one of the previous versions to work with my new Windows 8.

Useful and Economical
A very good Bible study tool and has some useful reference books included. The Bible search is simple and straightforward, and you really can't beat the price. It would've been nice to have some of the more-common modern translations of the Bible included (such as New International Version or English Standard Version), but maybe those are included on the more-expensive versions of the software. Still, I have no complaints. I was a little surprised that the larger box contained only cardboard (to help keep it's shape and protect the contents) and just a DVD in a jewel case. There was no documentation included, so it could've been packaged smaller, but that's just an observation. Instructions for using the software are included in the software or online.

Not the old QuickVerse
I wanted to upgrade from my ancient QuickVerse 4.0 (1997) by Craig Rairdin -- a most fantastic program. The only reason to upgrade was because Microsoft is finally ceasing to support WinXP, and I find that my old QuickVerse won't run on my new Win7 computer. It's perhaps unfair to describe QV10 as a piece of junk but it has nowhere near the usefulness and versatility of version 4.0. BUT, fellow version 4.0 groupies, DO NOT DESPAIR. Craig Rairdin is alive and well and you can get the Boolean searches and NASB translation and concordance on his at his latest venture, PocketBible at laridian.com. And now it runs on any platform including Win7. (And, yes, you can still get the RSV translation which is quickly disappearing everywhere else.) Also the NT Greek is free.

Disappointed
I was very disappointed to find this version much more complex than the original which is no longer available. Fortunately I have an old desktop with Vista which will still run the original, but my laptop (W7) won't accept it.
