I just bought this to replace the last model (I threw the instructions away and could not — for the life of me — figure out how to change the bulb).The last one was EXCELLENT with killing Florida mosquitoes. Mosquitos are our state bird and it’s a BIG problem here. Further, I have 350 feet of garden beds — so I get a LOT of mosquitoes. It handled about 90% of them last summer.I’ve just installed the new unit (in the last hour) so I’m not sure if it’s effective as the last model — but I have little doubt.I want to point out the improvements: there’s a clip at the top to open the bulb case. So it’s EASY to replace. I have a LOT of doubt this bulb will last 20k hours (as they claim). The last model claimed 3k hours (but we will see - I have spare bulbs to hand when it’s time to change).The bottom also has a release clip to easily dump the basket. This is HUGE improvement.Finally: if you notice it’s not as effective, change the bulb. Even if the bulb is on, the UV can decline and stop attracting them. You can buy a 4 pack of bulbs on Amazon for like $15. It’s worth it.The product works WELL so long as you replace the bulb when it’s slowing down on efficacy.

I love this item just don’t like emptying it. Bugs Bugs and more dead bugs

I've had two previous Dynatrap outdoor units that hung from my back patio. These units worked reasonably well and had UV lights that had to be replaced every few months. This new unit has LED UV lights that are very bright and will supposedly last up to two years. This unit catches bugs and mosquitos as good and likely better than the older devices and I am having to empty out the basket 1-2X per week. This new and improved Dynatrap is better value than previous versions and very happy with the purchase.

This works great at catching bugs at night with the separate attractant, not overly effective during the day. Easy to use and semi easy to clean. Seems durable.

Initially, this was a great purchase. It worked well and collected a lot of moths, flies, and beetles. However, in the last day or two, the fan has stopped working. The light is on and works, but the fan that sucks the bugs into the trap no longer spins or tries to spin. It’s been kept on a covered porch with no water exposure so I am just really disappointed that it did not last.

I ordered 2 of these - delivered in record time. I gave my sister one of these for her back yard party area. After a week of running the system, there was a surprising number of insects of various types in the trap - approved!I took my device and turned it on inside my home as I've had mosquito issues inside. After a week, I checked the trap, not knowing what to expect. There was over 50 bugs dead in the trap! I should have taken pictures but didn't.This thing WORKS!

Looks very cheap in quality compared to previous model where you manually had to turn the lamp to turn it on. I don’t know if they got bought out by some private equity group or what, but I am returning. Instantly noticed the cheap black plastic compared to the nice painted finish of previous models. The cheap cardboard box it ships in compared to the full color one. It’s like an accountant got a hold of the company and cut out all the premium stuff.The auto close flaps, and one button release for upper and bottom hatches are great engineering improvements, as well as the easy to use on off button. However for this price I expect a better finish than cheap looking black plastic.

Love the DynaTrap DT1130SR! It’s super effective at catching mosquitoes and flies, works quietly, and covers a large area. Easy to set up and clean—perfect for indoor and outdoor use. Highly recommend!
