Very comfortable!
I love these shoes! They feel great!!! Walking and standing is fantastic! Excellent support and they seem to be extremely well made. These run about half a size larger than my normal shoes but once I figured that out and got the right size... I couldn't be happier!

Well Built Product that Lives up to It's Hype!
Yes... I was skeptical regarding my friend's ravings regarding the Gravity Defyer Shoes. But, having an increasingly painful R knee and occasional lower back problems I went out on a limband bought a pair of these Ion model gravity defyer shoes. They arrived quickly and well packaged and indeed included the free Orthotics and added cushion padding. They also included very good instructions for starting out with the shoes asking clients to ease into the orthotic by wearing them for a short time at first, then longer periods while breaking them in. I personally did not have to do that and found them very comfortable on my 1st wearing (I inserted the Orthotic and pad right off the bat).My friend that recommended them tells me many of his UPS drivers wear them throughout the day for comfort and decreased knee, ankle, or back pain so I'm hoping for the same benefits...but so far so good. The only caveat I might put forward is that these shoes (with orthotic & pad inserted) are somewhat higher off the ground than a regular tennis or athletic shoe. So they actually make you about an inch taller than you might be otherwise with regular shoes, but also it's important to properly "Lift your Feet" while walking as they may tend to catch you up a little, esp if you are walking on heavy carpet flooring! So, if you are used to just "shuffling along" these shoes actually encourage you to lift your feet properly while walking in general. But again, they are very comfortable as I took them on a 2 1/2 mile walk in the park as soon as I got them without any problems at all.In my opinion, they are definitely worth a try... LR Allen

First impression review. updated
This is a first impressions only review. I will update later with a full review of wear and tear. Out of the box the design of the shoe is great sporty and not so much orthopedic looking. Nice colors good designs. The sole portion seems to be made well. Thats why it gets 2 stars. Pass that extremely dissappointed. The shoe upper is VERY let me stress VERY CHEAPLY MADE. It is all cheap and extremely THIN synthetic materials. I highly doubt this shoe will hold up at all. Smells plasticy(never hade a shoe smell like plastic)My biggest concern is that the eyelet holes will not hold up to tight tying. My wife had a "deluxe" halloween costum that came with some boots and the boots seem to be made of the same thin plasticy crap. Because of foot problems I have been wearing zcoils for over a year now. The heel snags on everything and they cost a lot. i was looking for something more sneaker looking, less orthopedic, and cheaper. The zcoil is ugly but ( my feet knees and back have never felt better) extremely well made full leather and a heavy duty spring. It also doesnt seem to absorb shock (only been walking around for about 30min) as well as the zcoil. Unless this is some super tough space age synthetics i have never heard about i dont see this shoe holding up at all. Wish gdfyer would've put more thought into the quality of the upper as they did the overall design of the shoe. This could've been a major win for folks with feet like mine but sadly it is not. I will continue to wear these and i may be wrong they may hold up great if so i will edit my review and ratings to reflect that if not it will only lose stars. if i coukd give zero stars i would they do not hold up less than two months and they were trash.

Tried due to knee pain.
I decided to try this shoe due to some severe knee pain. Usually by the end of the day, I could barely bend my leg. Being on my feet about 12 hours a day, my go to shoe are typically Brooks or Hoka’s. I will say one of the pros of this shoe is that after the first day of wearing them I had little to no knee pain. The heel of the shoes is very thick so you somewhat feel like you are slightly leaning forward. Also, due to the thick heel I am about an inch and a half taller wearing these shoes haha. The thing that I don’t like about them is the heel portion inside the shoe is slightly concaved. The best way I can describe it is imagine your heels on top of a tennis ball all day. That raised portion of the heel has slightly diminished the more I wear them, but I can still feel it. The insole of the shoe is a little too firm for my liking, having foot and knee pain I have tried countless shoes and insoles. In my personal experience this shoe feels more like a $70 shoe than $120. When this pair wears out, I will likely go back to my Brooks or Hoka’s. It could just be my foot, my coworker purchased a pair, but a different model that he really likes them.

The most comfortable shoe I've ever worn
I bought these because I do a great deal of walking and was very impressed with the anti-shock soles. After a week of wearing them, I will never wear anything else. I feel like I am walking on clouds, and I am flat-footed! G-Defy is worth every penny to me, and I would recommend them to anyone looking for something ergonomic, containing arch support, and tailored to fit a wide variety of feet. I use the inserts and it took a week to break them in around the ankles. I have the laces loose enough to slip them on like sandals now, but they stay snug, and I am off and running in seconds. As I walk or run I can feel the air exchange around the toes, so on colder days I wear thick socks. I imagine that water puddle submersion would cause a quick issue since they breath so well, so look where you leap and enjoy ultimate comfort. I don't have bad knees, and probably never will if I keep these on my feet! G-Defy team I salute you!
