You're Despicable!
As a fan of the Looney Tunes, it's sad for me to say, this is a pitiful game. I've only played the 1st level & already, it felt kinda dragged & tedious.Lets start with the good, the cutscenes & the character voice overs...& that's about it.Wacky the Looney Tunes may be, this game isn't wacky. In fact, scratch the voice overs as a good part, cuz during the gameplay, you barely hear the character talk unless they're hit by something/someone.The plot is The Evil Scientist is sick & tired of the Looney Tunes & planning to eliminate their existance by travel back in time & assassinate the Looney Tunes ancestors. After discovering this evil scheme, the Looney Tunes travel back/forward in time (sound familiar?) & stop this catastrophe. If you ask me, why do the Looney Tunes adventure game (that doesn't relate to movies) producers always have to use the time travel plotline? We've established that on 'Bugs Bunny Lost in Time' & 'Bugs & Taz Time Busters'.It's called Acme Arsenal due to the fact we get to use, well, Acme weaponary, like the extendo-glove & a shotgun to name a few.My 1st impression: we all know games has some sort of tutorials to familiarise players how to play the game, however in 'LT:AA's tutorial feels like a tedious demo on mute. In fact, this suppose to teach you buttons does what, but they don't tell you what it does, in fact, you really need to read from the manual to know what they do. What's the point of the tutorial then?Wile E. Coyote rocket chase is a bit frustrating, dodging obstacles & collecting clocks (additional time) is 1 thing, but looking out for a thin white line (if you run over it, a big obstacle appears on the spot, halting you) whilst flying 80mph is impossible. This mini game is more of the complicated/detailed version of 'Looney Tunes: Back In Action' Wile E. Coyote rocket chase. However, 'LT:BIA' version may be simplier, but it's much more fun.Even the credits are bad. How the heck can you go wrong with displaying the makers of the game? Shrink the names so small, you definitely need a magnifying glass to read it. The producers try to be clever by adding a behind the scene clip of Looney Tune characters voicing themselves in the game credits, however this was ruined due to the fact that the sound goes faster than the clip (it's like watching an ill-timed clip from the internet). If you're a true Looney Tunes fan, trust me, rent the game when it's cheap, it's not even worth £7 I got it on discount...now, doesn't that tell you something?
