My dog had many of the symptoms of hypothyroidism, such as lethargy, dry, itchy coat with dandruff and no undercoat, in addition to what they call "mental dullness". He's been getting flax seed meal, which did help a bit with his coat and the runs he's also had.A blood test on my dog was very expensive, so I did some research for a less expensive alternative and my vet suggested this thyroid supplement, so I decided to try it. About a couple of weeks later his coat was already much softer and fluffier than it used to be. His bad smell is almost entirely gone and I believe that a bath will help remove the remaining odor.He can also get up on the couch easily while before it was a struggle and I would have to help him. He has now begun to shed, which he did not do much of before, so I read this as an indication that new growth is taking place. Of course, this means more cleaning for me, but it is well worth it if my dog feels better.He has much more energy too and I will write an update in a month or so. I love that this product's ingredients are all-organic and that it's formulated to help the dog's own thyroid function improve, instead of replacing the hormone his thyroid is producing.The price is very reasonable, considering that you are getting 120 tablets, and it's definitely worth a try, rather than using expensive testing and medicine. In all, this thyroid supplement has improved my dog's quality of life, so thank you very, very much!

I got this for my 4 year old yorkie Olive. Her first litter yielded 2 pups and her 2nd only 1 baby. She was moody, irritable, and noticed that her eyes looked bulgy. So instead of getting her tested by the vet I thought I would try this suppliment. My family and eye have noticed quite a change in her. She's happy, and she has puppy eyes again😊🐶 If she has a larger litter next time she is bread, I'll give this product 5 stars. Started Olive on it March 31, 2019.

My 13 year old Lab recently started to appear blood in her urine, so I immediately took her in for vet check-up. Vet did some blood work and urine culture and found that she has hypothyroidism and recommended that I start her on thyroid supplements. In addition, she prescribed some antibiotics for a week to see if the blood disappears. I started her off with the antibiotics for a week and blood did disappear. Urine culture came back negative, so vet recommends me to keep her on thyroid supplements for 2 weeks and if blood comes back, then we need to do a ultrasound for potential bladder stones. A few days have gone by and I noticed my dog's nose used to be susceptible for bleeding with no causes, but on the supplements, even after the first tablet, the bleeding stopped as if the wound closed on itself. In addition, she doesn't have a smelly odor coming from her body anymore and her ears stay clean longer. I think this whole time she needed to start on these thyroid supplements but I didn't find out until now. I'm happy that Nutrition Strength uses the best ingredients and this actually works...

This might be wishful thinking but after 1 week I am seeing changes in my 7 yr old overweight dog. Vet wanted to do blood work to check thyroid apparently forgotten it had been done in June. Review the results and very low TSH. Since I don’t relish the thought of paying again I found this and started her on them. Started her on 2 pills once a day with her evening meal to see if she had any reaction. None but positive ones. It started with an extra walk. Then she started playing with her brother which hasn’t happened in awhile. And twice today she has wanted to play with me! She brought me a ball so I would chase her and then wanted to play tug of war. Going to keep her at this level for another 2 weeks, then step up to 3 for a month. She actually is in the 4 tabs a day weight group but maybe we wont need to go there!

My 9 year old rough collie lost most of her fur after pyometra surgery, she had open sores, excessive itching, red skin inflamed and dry, she was a mess. She was constantly scratching, and biting her skin and I could see her skin on her back, she had no fur left. After using this for 3 months her skin is no longer red, she grew hair on her back and tail, unbelievable, and her sores turned to scabs cuz they healed. She's on the 2nd bottle. She's 85lbs I give her 1 or 2 per day in her food.Update - She is now 11 yrs old, this is the best thyroid supplement imo. If I discontinue these, she starts itching again, so I try to give her at least 1 tablet every day.

My dog has a serious problem with his thyroid. The supplement may be good, but not for my dog.

Just put in food dish with meal.

This works so well for my 17 year old pooch with diabetes and adrenal issues. He had a huge patch of hair that fell out and he was just sleeping most of the day away and just wasn't his usual perky self. I figured it had to be his thyroid considering the other issues he had going on and since I am opting to treat him more naturally just like I would myself, I gave this supplement a try. He is around 72 pounds and I am currently dosing him just two tablets a day one in the morning and one in the evening and boy has he perked up beautifully! We are just about through the first bottle and I was coming back to purchase a second bottle and thought I should put a review here so others could know it's working well for us. He's lost about 5 pounds which he really needed. He's much more active and happy, his hair grew back and he just seems much more like his old self (and I'm not even giving him the full recommended dose for his weight as he is sensitive to most medications) my 17 year old dog is young again! Definitely worth a try if your dog is struggling!
