Used it a few times now
There's lots to like about this rucksack. Its spacious. Has separate compartments and you can access the bottom section without needing to empty it. Couple of pockets in the hood, deep pockets at the side. Something can be attached to the lid like a sleeping mat and there's suitable loops at the base for hanging a reasonably sized tent off.My zip in the outer lid was burst but I managed to zip it back up and know not to put anything valuable in it. There's no where for hanging walking poles but the webbing can be adapted to take them at an angle, but they stick out.The zips are strong and so far I haven't had anything get too wet in the bag, and I've been out in days and days of non stop rain. Dry sacks help as the pack isn't completely waterproof and will eventually get wet inside. The plastic liner means its easy to wipe dry.The shoulder pads are excellent for the price although I find the pack a little short for me, I'm 6' 1" and have the length at long. but the waistband sits a little high. I've walked the West Highland Way 3 times with this pack and have had up to 20kg in it and have had no problems with chaffing, rubbing or balance. The pack feels good on my back and shoulders. I might have been better with the 85L pack but bought this mail order and didn't get to try it on first. I'd recommend you go to a store if possible and try it on.No problems with the pack so far. My main gripe is the waist belt straps are too long while the sternum strap is kinda too short and might pinch under some peoples armpits. The pack has plenty of adjustment but I found it difficult to achieve any without taking the pack off first. The two bars that run the length of the pack for support can be removed easily if you prefer not to have a frame.I would have given it five stars if the zip wasn't faulty, the back had one more setting and the sternum strap was a little longer and the waist belt shorter.

Five Stars
A great present for my son. He can fit his sister inside it.

Straps broke on first outing
Do not buy! On the first outing both straps on the upper rucksack ripped out, so the rucksack could not be closed or compressed , the chest strap broke and one of the lower clips broke. My son was on a D of E expedition in wintery wet conditions on high ground and the rucksack completely let him down. Shockingly poor quality.

I took this bag travelling around Thailand for two weeks and it was perfect! I love that you can put things in the bottom of the bag and still access them using the zip at the bottom

Great bag!
Well packaged and a massive bag! Perfect for all my sons stuff for scout camp including several changes of clothes and pairs of shoes as lots of wet activities planned! His sleeping bag is being carried separately. Love the pull cord close and pockets are useful. Quitters heavy when full and things are mainly in one compartment so not sure how easily he'll find items as previously used bag with more sections but tile will tell! Being tested this weekend and all ready to go.

Poor stitching quality
Do not buy this if you plan to actually fill it full and not have to worry about it not being able to maintain the weight. Whilst travelling through Thailand, the seams on the straps that you place your arms through ripped, leaving me to have to sew it back together so I could carry this on my back. What a real let down, I expected more from Mountain Warehouse

Perfect bag for people who take too much to festivals like me
I will never find all the pockets on this bag, it is so spacious, kind of like a Mary Poppins bag...can fit so much in!Used for carrying a ridiculous amount of things to a Festival and was perfecr for that. Lots of straps so feels more manageable on your body
