Works if you follow the directions.I read reviews with people saying things like "it's too hard to fill up that the holes were too small", and "the cubes were not clear". lolYou fill only the bottom half tray and then put the top out pushing out excess water. EASY PEASY!Unless you are using "DISTILLED" water your cubes will never be transparent like store bought ice which is manufactured using DISTILLED water. Bottled water, softened water, filtered water and any other variant all contain minerals which is what makes your ice cubes white at the core. DISTILLED water has no trace minerals which is why they are clear. (ICE 101)

LOVE THEM!!!! This is my 2nd ordering drink so much water I need ice full and these are great. Fit in my bottle perfect. Just make sure it will fit in your bottle. I bought next size up and was to big.

Easy to use and make ice balls - just no "Large" - I would consider the sizemedium. The balls are only about 1" diameter. So need 2 per drink.

I like that the ice doesn't melt so fast.

It's a little tricky to get it to make perfectly round balls, but in my first 2 fillings of the two trays I've easily gotten 4/6 either perfect or close enough cubes per tray. The directions talk about pouring off excess, but if you fill to the line level and put the lid on without trying to clean up, it comes out better. The box for holding the ice is great while you freeze another set. The balls are a little smaller than some I've had or get in restaurants, but I like the size for my drinks.Removing the ice from the tray is difficult because it's almost completely rigid. Keeping it out for a couple minutes lets it melt a little and they come out more easily.The tongs are useless. They don't help to remove the ice, they can't pick up a ball from the box, they are pointless.For $10 it is a good value.

Easy to use the film lines are clearly marked and easy to read

I had low expectations, but it was worth a shot at the price. I was nicely surprised. Fill the bottom part with water then put on the top. It will push out whatever water it doesn't need and makes nice ice balls. Yes, the ice balls are better than standard icemaker cubes.
