Smartivity products are well thought, entertaining, engaging and focussed on bringing home a single concept through one product i.e. one concept one product. The hydraulic crane not only explains how a crane works but also lets you build one thereby helping understand the power of pressure and how it is used in real life. The crane has to be build by following instructions, which improve communication skills as well as improves focus. Instruction manual is pretty good and the age guidance on Smartivity products always up to the mark so much so that any little challenges kids encounter can be overcome by reviewing the manual. A great product for 7-10 year olds.

The media could not be loaded. Got this for my 4-year-old son for Christmas. Assembly would take a couple of hours and kids may need help from elders for fixing some of the small pieces so make sure you have time in hand to sit with your child as they do the setup. The instruction booklet is clear enough and if you just follow it blindly you should not have any problem putting the pieces together. The cardboard is sturdy and doesn't get wet easily so a bit of spill and splash while getting the hydraulics working should be fine. I would suggest not dismantling the setup once done as repeated assembly and disassembly would increase the wear and tear on the delicate parts. Instead, just disconnect the control unit from the crane by removing the tubes, drain the water and keep the setup aside for next use. Overall, this is an engaging toy and could help in developing scientific and logical thinking in children.

The media could not be loaded. It’s very fun to build and is not hard but is not easy either, I finished it in 1 - 1 and half hour max. Great quality and is fun to play with. Gives you everything except cup to keep water in to fill syringes.

Very good. Ease to assemb value for money

The concept is really nice. However, the cardboard material doesn’t help. My son built it after 3 hours and then while he was trying to move the crane, the water leaked from the syringe pump and spilled on the cardboard material. Kids are prone to making such errors. And the toy literally became useless after that very moment.He got extremely upset for his all resorts went down the drain due to syringe pump leakage. We couldn’t fix the toy because the cardboard softened and its layers all propped out.

Very intuitive and an amazing product. Fun and easy for the kid to assemble and lear and get addicted to the working dynamic of the product. Holding on to that one star as this product is limited to one model only. Would have been really nice if this product could have been used to model say two or three different prototypes and not limited to just one.. saying as usualy kids tends to get bored once their inquisitiveness realted to the product decreases.. and maintaining different products having their individual parts and all becomes a little cumbersome for the parents 😄

Writing this review after a month of my purchase. This is ideal for kids who wants to experiment and do something new. It comes with a complete set of parts and along with it comes a guide. My kid aged 8 assembled this entire hydraulic machine by himself. This doesn't need any tool to fix which js why its safe. Its made of wood and therefore environment friendly as well.Kudos to the seller here. One of the part got wet and somehow wasnt usable so I contacted the seller on whatsapp and he was very polite and happy to ship the spare part for free.Trust me guys, this will really help your kids understand how these machines work.Overall this is a good purchase and I'd recommend this product and seller.
