Clairol Root Touch-Up by Nice'n Easy Permanent Hair Dye, 6.5G Lightest Golden Brown Hair Color, Pack of 1

I am going blonder and blonder over time to eventually go gray. I go to a lighter shade every 6 months or so. I have a lot of hair, so I have to use 2 boxes per application. Saves a lot of money, since I really need to color my gray every 3-4 weeks. And because I'm not coloring my entire hair each time, it makes my hair look far more natual. There is more variation on my color, instead of being one flat color. I've used different shades of this for decades, and even when I've shifted shades, I have NEVER encountered an instance when the color just didn't look right with my previous color. It always just blends...like magic. It is very forgiving, as long as you are somewhat close to the shade you already have.

I love this Nice & Easy Touch-up, I use number 10 extra light blonde. My hair is staring to turn white at the front around my face and the roots in top of my head. I was tired of paying so much every five weeks to a hair salon so I tried this and I'm so glad I did! It is very easy to use and only takes about 20 minutes total to color it by myself and it looks great, very natural!

I'd say that Clairol Root Touch Up is the best root color available outside of a salon. I've used this in Extra-Lift a couple times now and it's a perfect match for my level 10 bleach blonde hair. My natural color is a dark medium blonde with some grey, not too dark but against very light blonde highlights the roots will show as kind of a mousy color. This works easily and blends perfectly with my hair color. I didn't take a before pic, but added an after to show how seamless the root to rest of the hair color is. There's plenty in the package to tackle my roots and around my hairline. Keep my roots fresh in between coloring/visits to the salon. It's not too smelly while it's processing. Would recommend.

As a covid-do it yourselfer, I was surprised at how easy this was to apply and how good it looked.However, it doesn't cover as well as desired. The instructions say the color requires only 10 minutes. This may work for some people, but the first time I used it, I left it on for 15-17 minutes AFTER finishing applying it to all areas I wanted to touch up, because at the salon, the color processes for nearly a half hour, sometimes with heat. I could see a bit of gray showing through almost immediately after it dried, and then after 2 weeks the gray showed pretty clearly. There is a real risk of leaving color on too long (I learned from online sites) because of damage to the hair, and my ends are damaged, despite professional application and the use of high priced conditioners, etc., so I wanted to be very careful.I tried leaving it on for 20 minutes the second time I used it. There may be a bit of an improvement, but I suspect that one has to leave it on longer than that, with resistant gray hair, if you aren't worried about the damage risk.So, you may need a lot more than 10 minutes of processing time (on top of at least 10 minutes to apply it carefully). And, while it definitely makes the gray roots less noticeable, you may not get perfect results.

This is always my go to when I can’t make it back to the salon, or when money is tight and I just need a touchup.

I have used this color before. It is good for medium golden blonde hair. It has saved me from having to go as often to get my hair colored. It is also so affordable.

This is perfect to get my roots every few weeks. Easy to use, takes 10 min, and works great.

I don’t even know what color this is!! But, it’s not medium blonde. I bleach my ends and do medium blonde on my roots. It has NEVER looked like this. It’s been on about 30 mins now…It doesn’t look at all like it normally does. Purple-y dark brown?! This should be fun to fix.I can say when I mixed the color it looked how it should. It mixed to a gold color.
