Tesco Hudl 2 / 2nd Generation Battery Official 100% Genuine Internal Battery

The battery was delivered in a slightly scuffed condition. I contacted the supplier to confirm it was new and they assured me it was. I installed it into my Huddl2, an easy enough task. Just need to take care when fitting the device back together to ensure the power and volume switches are correctly aligned.After fully charging the battery there was a definite improvement in the usage time of my Huddl2. It is better but not a patch on my wife's iPad battery life, but that's what you get when you pay Apple prices!Overall pleased with the battery now.

I’ve waited quite a few months before I’ve done this review but I’m extremely pleased with the battery it’s holding its charge and it appears to be a genuine replacement for the real thing! Having looked at the YouTube video before taking my hudl2 apart with trepidation I can honestly say this is probably the only electronic bit of kit that is user-friendly inside everything is modular they just clip apart. Getting the casing apart was a bit of a problem had to get the tiny screwdriver between the plastic force it apart but once you’ve done one edge it was relatively easy take the back off and to replace the battery.if I can do it with my big fingers I think anybody could! It was either replacing the battery or getting a new tablet and the hudl 2 I still don’t think you can beat!

I really like my Hudl 2 and so didn't want to replace it when the battery wouldn't last the day on standby. I was a bit dubious when the new battery arrived just in a padded envelope but with no original protective packaging however having installed it the device now lasts 2 to 3 days with moderate use so I am happy with the outcome.

I doubt the battery is a "brand new Tesco Hudl 2 internal battery". Minor scratches in the battery and marks from screws on the frame suggest it has been a Hudl rather than a test fixture. That said, at the price it was what I expected so I'm not taking the matter any further. Have tested it for charge, retention and discharge and it is much better than the well used battery I am replacing.

So far, as it takes a couple of charges to sort out the battery memory, the battery seems to be behaving well and retaining its charge.

Arrived quickly, looks good, and it works fine. Of course, only time will tell if it continues to a normal life (original was 4 to 5 years)

Ordered Thursday evening after Hudl stopped working. Wouldn't switch on or charge and as the charging port had already been replaced, I hoped it was the battery that has gone. Arrived Saturday morning, so couldn't ask for more. Hudl now works perfectly and the battery was super easy to replace: just disconnected and unscrewed the old one and popped in the new one. My little boy is delighted.
