These really are good motion sensor lights. They come on quick, and stay on 10 seconds. Of course, if whatever sets them off moves, they come on again. I saw on one site that motion sensor lights are a good deterrent to criminals, and we've ordered two more so that our yard will really be covered. We're using these in addition to our porch lights so we can cover more area.As for our dogs, they're pit bull/chow mix (housebroken, and stay in the house a lot of the time), so the lights would catch anyone who came into the yard even if they were bent over. Out here, if you call 911, they don't arrive for at least 15 minutes. That's a long time to have to deal with someone who might be armed. So chasing them off with the lights (and/or our dogs) is much preferable to having strangers invade our home.

Very easy to install and works pretty well. My only disappointment about it is that it lights up 24 hours whenever something moves by. It would be great if it were also light sensitive to preserve the batteries longer but otherwise we’re very happy.

This would be the ideal motion sensing light for illuminating walkways. Light temperature is daylight and illuminates pathways very well. The light-on duration is preset to 10 seconds only and non-adjustable. Duration is just long enough for a person or even an animal passing by. They are also thin about the size of a match-stick and difficult to turn, especially if you have big fingers.2) Adjustment Symbols on White color bodies are difficulty to see – The text color almost blends with the body color.3) Light spread could be wider - Beam pattern of a single head is about as wide as a 2D Cell flashlight. Flood per head would be nice.The WTFs1) Not easy to dismount when replacing batteries – The bottom locking tab is difficult to unhook and feels like it will break when forced.2) Non-Adjustable On-Time duration – Light On-Time is preset at 10 seconds Max.

After we ordered our first two we proceeded to order 8 more. As you can see we have installed them all around our deck and we have a few in the back of the house. They are awesome! Lighting is strong and sensitive to motion - perfect combo! Price is great too! Thank you.

This is exactly the simple setup and replacement light I was looking for use.

Could not find an exact replacement for the battery-powered, two-lamp security light on the side of my house that started malfunctioning. I guess these foreign suppliers change all the time. Didn't want to drill a lot of new holes to mount a bigger light that I don't need. Didn't want a solar one with a rechargeable battery that eventually won't hold a charge. And didn't want a more powerful light to annoy me and the neighbors.This one was as close to the old one as I could find, with a similar sized mounting plate and light strength, function.Good that it didn't cost much because this one is more lightweight, plastic and cheap feeling than the last one. Especially concerning is the plastic prong attachment of the light and battery housing to the mounting plate. The last one had a screw at least. This one requires bending a plastic tab every time you need to remove it to change the batteries. Yeah, that's going to snap, just a question of when. Hope to get a couple years out of it at least. Oh, and the sensing distance is not quite as far as the previous one, either, though they all seem to say 26 feet.Annoying that even though the mounting plate is almost exactly the same as the last one, the two screws are in the opposite corners. Fill and drill. Doh!The other good news is that it takes the same C batteries the last one did. I still have an almost full package of those from Costco and nothing else that takes them.

I like the lights but they came on even in the daylight. Every time I walked out on my back porch the lights came on. I assumed the lights only detected motioning when it was dark.Update on this item: This motion light worked once my husband figure out what or why the lights were coming on in the daytime. I have no idea what he did but I'm pleased to update that they work perfectly. Plus the batteries have lasted about four months since the day I installed them on my back porch. I would recommend this product.

Comes on and goes right back off. Have tried replacing new battery’s twice still same. Cheap made! Does NOT work! Please refund!
