Fit perfect!
As mentioned by other reviewers, I can confirm this is the crossmember that goes over the gas tank, not the rear spare tire carrier. This was one of the only sources I could find for a gas tank crossmember for my 2007 new body style Silverado. I chose to replace just half of the crossmember because the passenger side was in good condition. The crossmember fit great and was made out of nice thick steel. I couldn't be happier with the result.

Crossmember Is a Direct Fit for 2012 Silverado
This is actually the Rear Fuel Tank Support Crossmember, Not the Spare tire crossmember. It fits as it should. As others have stated, the shock mount that is shipped with it will not work without significant modification so plan to cut the passenger side shock mount off the old frame crossmember or fabricate your own.
