I searched for a while to find a gas spring articulating wall mount with height adjustability, that could also handle 50+ lbs. This Mount-It is rated to 55 lbs which is more than enough for pretty much any monitor or TV up to 55".I mounted an LG C4 48" to it which uses VESA 200x300 mounting holes. Many other wall mount arms do not support this pattern, including the other slightly more expensive Mount-It one. The 48" C4 weighs about 34 lbs without the stand so it's well within this mount's rating, and indeed I had to adjust the gas spring tension down quite a bit to balance it to the TV's weight (which is a good thing, it means the spring can definitely handle a lot more weight than this particular TV.)Easy to install, includes all hardware you might need (even some VESA screws, which is nice) and it was also easy to level the TV once installed by loosening the 3 nuts that hold the VESA mount to the arm, getting the TV level, then tightening those back down.

I only review items I will actually use, and use I do, prior to writing a review.I have a TV in my store that we play promotional videos on, and we like to change these videos monthly. The means getting out a step stool and balancing as you try to reach behind the TV to swap a USB stick. I liked the idea of the gas strut on this mount as I thought it would make it easier to move the TV around to change the drive.I was impressed at the build quality on this mount. It is heavy metal and feels rigid (pictured). The mounting and TV installation are easy and once secured to the wall this mount is sturdy. It easily held our TV (pictured) and pulling it out and down, with the gas strut, to change the drive was very easy. I like this mount.As I do at the end of all my reviews, I ask myself if I would actually purchase this item. Yes, I would buy this mount.

I had a bad experience with this product. Overall the quality of parts seemed good and it was easy to mount the arm to my wall. But once it was mounted, I found that the gas spring arm would not move down at all. It comes in the fully upright position and there are instructions for turning a hex nut to loosen the arm so that it raises and lowers. But I turned it as far as it can go and the arm is still locked fully in the upright position. I called support and did speak with someone who suggested that you have to mount the tv on the arm for it to move down. I did this and the arm still will not budge. They even sent me a replacement arm and it has the exact same issue. Returning the product.

Didn't work for me. Seems to be heavy duty.

The mount currently has a 50 inch led TV and has no issues so far.I needed something allowing to separate the TV and rotate it for my younger room.This one has good length and allows her to set the TV in the direction she need to see it correctly.The mount came with everything needed to install and configured, plenty pf screws and separators.The arm spring is strong, I had to soft it all the way because our setup is close to the ceiling and needed the arm to go all the way down, but after a few minutes it did went to where I needed it to go.So far looks like a good option for what we needed.

It's sturdy and well-made and fairly simple to install for a TV mount (but none of these are really easy installations. Of all the mounts I've installed, it's a 3 out of 10 difficulty level. Every installation is filled with stress of locating studs and more specifically the center of the stud and this is no exception. Not a knock against the mount itself, but the inherent process. I was lucky to have the default VESA spec of 200x200, so I didn't have to use the adapters, which made the install pretty painless and fast. It's nice to be able to have the mount installed completely before hanging the TV on the arm.I wonder about the longevity of the floating arm's longevity, especially if the TV is moved around a lot and tends towards the upper weight limit. Hard to know, but it's on my mind. I'll have to check back in after a year or so.
