Look great and well made.
I have wanted a heavy duty mixer and this one fits the bill. I love making homemade bread and this works just great. That is the reason I wanted thix mixer and it lives up to everything I expected it to be.

Lift stuck!
We have only used this mixer a couple of time since we purchased it, and the lift handle has gotten stuck twice! I had to take the bottom plate off and jiggle the lift mechanism a bit to get it unstuck, but after a few times, it gets stuck again. I do not recommend this mixer.

LOVE
I love my new mixer. I didn't want a kitchen aid brand because all of the bad reviews on customer service when people did have problems with their mixers. The kitchen aid attachments fit this so that is nice also. I was scared because of the price but so happy I got it and didn't realize our refrigerator is Kenmore elite also.

Can't find replacement beaters
We purchased the Kenmore Elite Stand Mixer 600 Watt, several months ago. We were thrilled with it's performance. Noise didn't bother me. But by the third time of using it, we discovered the plastic from the beaters were flaking off into our food!Have tried numerous times and ways to get different beaters. Can't believe how difficult this has been, or how many beaters we have bought - that have not fit. The beaters that Sears themselves told me would fit - not even close. Their service has been horrific. We've been told that our "manual" should have told us about the screw that would adjust the bowl height, so the beaters wouldn't scrape the side, making the plastic flake off. Well - no - not our manual. We were told the "manual" would tell us the part number for the beaters. Uh, no. It has no part numbers at all. The model number doesn't even show up on Sears Direct Parts - so can't find anything. Incredibly disappointing. You know - no matter how awesome a mixer is, if the beaters don't work or don't fit - you just don't have a mixer.

This mixer was recommended by a friend who makes a lot of bread
This mixer was recommended by a friend who makes a lot of bread, and reports that he has had four failures of KItchenAid mixers with similar specs to the point he junked them, but this model keeps working and working. Good buy.

Worth the money
So far so good. Made cake and a couple batches of buttercream. I do reccomend getting a flex beater though.

Review on Kenmore 600 Mixer
I purchased the Kenmore because of the reviews. I had the Kitchen Aid 600w and had problem after problem with it. The Kenmore is very noisy. The mixing attachments are not big enough to do a good job. Being too small, they leave a portion of the mixture not mixed. You have to repeadedly stop the mixer and run a spatula around the bowl to get the unmixed portion into the mix. This is very anoying considering the high price paid for the mixer. I'm lucky I still have the slightly larger attachments that came with the Kitchen Aid and that the Kitchen Aid attachments fit the Kenmore. On a scale of 1 to 10 I would give the Kenmore a 7. So far I have not found a mixer as good as the Hobart. But, the Hobart is much, much more expensive.
