Delicious dessert blend
I love this blend for a gluten free cake or muffin dessert. Easy to use and much better than trying to make it from scratch. Also you can add more or less sugar and flavoring as you like. The baked texture is very moist and I also included vanilla and lemon flavorings for an extra punch. This mix allows so much versatility. I will definitely use this blend going forward to create a variety of gluten free desserts.

Review on Gluvana
I changed my diet I wanted to start using gluten-free products.using . My favorite thing is pound cake. I was searching the Internet and I ran across Gluvana pound cake smart blend. I am a cook and a baker. Not only gluten-free dairy free nut free and soy free couldn’t get no better. The texture and the taste was on point and quality was excellent. I made it for my Thanksgiving dinner and nobody could tell the difference from the original scrap pound cake and the gluten-free poundcake. It was a hit at my house. The one thing it was more moist than the pound cake that I made,I highly recommend this brand. Easy to make. Can’t go wrong.

Came out okay
This turned out okay. I finally got around to trying this, and it came out fine. I ended up using more liquid (milk) than the recipe called for and the cake came out with a nice airy texture. I used one cup of sugar for this mix, and it was sweet but not overly sweet, which I think was nice. I'd recommend however that one opt for using a pound cake pan instead of a traditional bread loaf pan. The center took a bit longer to bake through than usual (I used a typical bread loaf pan).

Moist & Delicious
Love this cake mix. It's super easy to make and comes out moist and spongey. Tastes great on it's own, don't need to add any frosting or anything extra.

Not the cake for me
I got the Gluvana Classic & Moist Gluten Free Classic Pound Cake because I love pound cake. I thought it was a cake mix, but it's just the base. I needed to add a pound of butter, four eggs, milk, sugar, vanilla, and almond extracts (I substituted almond, although the recipe called for lemon). The powder has a strong carrot smell. I mixed the ingredients per the instructions, and it was super thick. I couldn't pour it onto the cake pan but instead had to scoop it in. It still had a strong carrot smell going into the oven. Considering all the ingredients I added, the price seems high, though I don't generally bake gluten-free. It took 75 minutes to bake in my oven and was relatively dense. The outside rose and broke off in the oven, while the inside was raw. After baking, that taste of carrot was still there. I am thinking the lemon extract might have cut that. But either way, the texture is odd, and the family wasn't keen on it. I would never have thought this was supposed to be pound cake if I didn't know what it was.

Good but needs additional ingredients
While it's probably a great option if you only need to add some sprinkles or something similar, this mix will disappoint if you were thinking of it as a time-saver on a dessert recipe. Be warned: this is not a cake mix, so I had to add lots of ingredients to it, almost like baking a cake from scratch. This also comes up to be little pricey after adding up the fresh ingredients. For this reason, the price is probably a bit too steep for this.

Disappointing
I get that gluten-free is absolute essential for people with celiac disease, and that unfortunately means a lot of products like this one. From the start, I was hopeful, but ultimately it was a huge letdown. The bag of flour smelled like a moldy basement. The smell mostly when away after adding eggs, sugar, milk, etc, but the recipe required FOUR eggs, which seems excessive until you remember that there's no gluten to help the cake rise. It was fairly odd smelling and we did not anticipate it would taste good, so we added lemon zest and flavoring to hopefully improve it. After baking, it smelled much better but unfortunately, it still barely tasted like anything, let alone pound cake. I can say it was edible, with sufficient butter (my preference) but considering the price maybe not a very good value at all.
