Bulbrite Incandescent BR40 Medium Screw Base (E26) Heat Lamp, 250 Watt, Clear

I probably overpaid for this  Bulbrite 250BR40H 250W Heat Lamp BR40 Reflector Light, Clear  ($14.75), but I was in a rush and needed to order something, not realizing these heat lamps are available for a little more than half the price in your local BORG (big orange retail giant) or Lowe's. So I ended up with this one and then bought a second Sylvania bulb locally. Interestingly, the Sylvania bulb and this one look identical, but this one provides a more even light. The Sylvania bulb, at least the one I have, has bright spots and dimmer areas.The difference may be purely one of chance. It's hard to imagine that these are produced by more than one manufacturer and the rest are simply rebranded, but who knows?

Absolutely love them. Wish I would have bought local. I way over paid for these even after looking around online. Slightly more expensive than Home Depot but found them at 1/3 price at another hardware store. The light itself does exactly it's job. It puts off some heat! I bought online knowing it would be cheaper in store, so that's my bad. It was completely worth it just to remember I wanted to try them!

I got this lamp to try out light therapy for my thyroid. I've only had it for a few days, but it surely does give me a sun-like boost here in the dull and grey days of winter in the northeast.

Bought these to use in our freestanding heat lamp food warmer for our restaurant. They've been in service for 3 months now, and are still doing their job of keeping food warm after coming out of the fryer, before being plated. They seem well made and durable. Will be purchasing these again to replace the ones that are in use when they finally burn out.

This is a 130 volt bulb, which means it is not quite as bright as a regular 120 volt and will last longer. This has been a blessing in the bathroom as the light from a regular bulb was just too bright and had too much glare. I've been using it as the main light for 10 months without no problems.

I use one of these to work in my unheated basement as I have found a small amount of heat, about 7 feet away, is all that's needed, provides needed illumination, puts the warmth where I want it, and costs far less than any 1000W or more heater that just heats some air that rises to the ceiling. I needed a back up in case the one I have now dies. SO glad I could get this at a great price via Amazon. Arrived fast as usual. Very happy, will order again.

The product arrived safely. It was supposed to be here Jan 13 but I got a notice of attempted delivery Jan 18 which actually meant the post office put a delivery notice card in the community mailbox so I was able to pick it up on the 19th. Certainly not the fault of the shipper!...I am just commenting on Canada Post.I used the light for the first time this morning and am looking forward to using it every day and seeing what benefits I may experience. I have read many articles on the benefit of red light therapy and used for 5 to 10 minutes per session/day from 2 to 3 feet away it is certainly safe enough.Time will tell if I experience any benefit but the product itself is perfect.

Heats rapidly and maintains temperature well, but lasts well short of 5000 hours. My first one burnt out in about a month. We shall see whether the second one lasts any longer.

Doesn’t give off much heat but does give off good light. So if it’s increased lighting you are looking for buy it but don’t count on getting much heat.
