What are the internal diameter size?

The bag is rectangular rather than round, and the internal dimensions are almost the same as the external dimensions, as the bag wall thickness is negligible.

Do you need the inflatable things if i have roof bars?

You don’t if you can position your roof bars. Ours are fixed position so could only tie on to one roof bar. However using the roof bars & the inflatable supports spreads the weight really evenly. I suggest both if you can !!

How to thread short strap into the tooth holder/hole? Strap too thick.

The short straps pass through 1 of the 3 webbing mounting points on the underside of the bag in each 4 corners of the bag. You need to offer the bag to the roof bars and choose the point that aligns with each bar. This system provides adjustment depending on the pitch of your roof bars when you fitted them. The short straps have a grippy rubber side to prevent slipping on the roof bars when fitted, you need to depress the metal cam to make the gap wide enough to pass the strap end through.
