Worked great at first :(
TLDR: Cheap construction, bad QC, eats batteries, unreliable, and expensive to top it all off.Bought this back in Jan of 2018. Worked well at first, although I was a bit surprised by the toy-like feel of the product. I've use the old-school Greenlee analogue toner often and find that it feels much better in the hand than the Fluke. They also go through 9V batteries like no other piece of equipment I own. My boss' Greenlee has had the same battery in it for over a year. Meanwhile, I've probably bought six 9V batteries for replacements since January. The wand produces a very annoying feedback squelch quite often. The tabs on both the included ethernet test cables have broken, and the coax male-end has come out. I think the wand is now dead. I can't rely on this product for professional use, and DO NOT recommend you buy it—at least until Fluke gets their quality control issues managed. I was surprised by the build and reliability of this product, given Fluke's reputation.

Best Toner I have ever used. The extra features really help in the real word.
I have been using a toner for almost 20 years. I got this one a while ago. I choose it because a coworker had one. I read the directions once and I was sold. Then I got one.It has a few major features that make this toner work better than any other toner I have ever used.Read the directions and learn all of the features. It is worth the price in my opinion. It can help you troubleshoot.I use this device in major hospitals, schools, and Government buildings. It is a must have as an IT tech.It fits really well in a traditional tonner bag.Let me describe exactly what I like.It has a traditional analog tonner setting. It has the alligator clips you need. It has the multiple different tones that change when the leads are shorted out!!!!It has a digital toner setting that can be used when the wires are shorted or when it is plugged into a switch!!!It tells you when it is plugged into a switch!!It can be used to test the RJ45 ends/patch cables. It is a simple cable tester and it works great to verify a digital tone. This tester is used in my tool bag. It can do more than two other tools that I have combined. This Fluke item is worth the cost. The extra features really help in the real word.

It's great for finding wires far away
It's great for finding wires far away, unfortunately it's almost TOO sensitive, and appears to "find" wires in adjacent cables. No matter how I drop down the sensitivity, it can be a challenge to locate the RIGHT pair of wires even in "Legacy" toner mode. With the large tip, it's hard to pin-point a wire on a 110 block.

“Intermittent” is a good word for thIs Amazon Warehouse product...
I purschased from the Warehouse seeing it saved me $40 bucks but I’m not convinced the tip on the probe is working properly. I needed a digital and analog Toner/Probe or I would of bought the analog Fluke probe. It’s much cheaper but only does RJ11. I need RJ11 and RJ45.The packaging had one staple and looked like it was brand new. I thought about returning it or exchanging it but the only option I get is a return. Should I of just bought a new one? Will I regret this after return period is over? I guess a good word for the product I paid $170 for as of right now is “intermittent”...The product itself gets 5 starts because it’s a great product. The product I owe gets 2.5 stars because I’m not convinced it even works properly. I’m new to these but I get the idea how they work. When I plug in a RJ11 or 45 cable into the toner and take the probe by it, it won’t make any noises. It seems like the probe needs to be setup digital and toner on analog to make a connection. It’s just wacky. I just want a new one sent to me and I’ll gladly send my old one back....As of now and ordering from Amazon Warehouse, i would of just ratcheted ordered new instead of saving the few bucks... if I could go backwards I’d order a new unit...

Works pretty well but the value of this product has gone down
I like Fluke but I have to ding this product.I purchased this same product a few years ago and ended up misplacing the probe so I ordered again to replace it. The price hasn't gone down but the value certainly has.First - you no longer get a case with it. The older version included a soft carrying case that housed the probe and toner along with the cables. It could even hold spare batteries. Not anymore - now you have to buy that for another $30 or a $20 third party brand.Second - the toner has lost some functionality. The older version included telephone indicators. You could just plug in, roll to service mode and easily determine if you had a dial tone on line 1/2 as well as observe polarity. The functionality is now gone.Last - while the package included all sorts of useless "safety information" and other printed nonsense, there was no manual to be found. It's important to know how to properly use this product to find/isolate a cable in a big bundle, so its quite annoying that they include printed material that you really don't care about but not even a quick "getting started" guide. This frustration was compounded by how hard it was to find the manual online. Once you do, however, the only version I found was for the apparently older model that still included the telephone testing (even though it carried the same 200 Pro product label.)Overall, the product works well. The ability to jump from toner to wiremap is quite handy. It's not as accurate in a huge cable nest as Fluke claims but seems to work as well or maybe a little better than other toners.I can't give it full starts because of the value that Fluke has taken away - especially at this price point. If they brought back the case and started included the phone line testing again I would probably change my review.

a great tool wish I had 2 years ago
so this thing is magical once you know how it works,if you have lots of cables it is hard for it to locate the wire in a bunch.a great tool wish I had 2 years ago.if you are trying to work with old wiring that you didn't setup and it looks like plate of noddles then it can save you hours.

Not satisfied at all.
This is relatively expensive product. After 10 times usage, it lost the volume. Uses lot of battery. Hard to work with. I asked my other colleagues that purchases this product, they are saying the same.

If you need a good tester / tone and probe
If you need a good tester / tone and probe, search no more. This is what you want or need !Expensive, maybe, but worth every part of it.
