Lavender - Large 1/4 Ounce Packet - 7,000 Flower Seeds for Planting - Lavandula angustifolia

In general I like to buy lavender as starts or full clumps from a nursery but since I have seed trays I figured I’d like to give growing it from seed another go. There’s a lot of seed in this package, which won’t always translate to a high germination rate but I’m holding out hope. I started one batch in a tray of wet coconut coir shreds and another in some cactus planting medium. I thought the cactus medium would do better but so far it’s the coir that is sprouting. I think the difference is that the coir seems to retain heat a little better. That being said I started both trays about 3 weeks ago and one is already showing the first tiny sprouts. I’m super happy about this development and think this is a good quality seed so far (I’ll update if my opinion changes), its a great bargain if you have the patience and are willing to watch the humidity in your seed starter trays like a hawk.

I planted the lavender seeds in multiple places and they never sprouted. These are the only package of seeds that didn't sprout. All the other flower seeds I bought from this seller sprouted and are big. It seems like the lavender seeds they sent me were all bad.

Needed some lavender seeds to go along the side of my house that gets a ton of sun, but I've never had anything growing there. So I found this bag of seeds and it came to the house the next day! I had missed the rain already, but the space I was putting them in was still moist and I dropped them all in there and watered them with the hose.Whole lotta seeds for your money! I'll come back and show you pics of them plants/flowers when they come up in a few weeks.

Many seeds and looking forward to results

Lavender has always been one of my favorites, but also hard to grow. I’m hoping with this bulk type seeding, I can widespread plant with more success. The few I pulled out sprouted so they appear fresh. Won’t know if they grow into what they say, they are for several months.

I was so hopeful these seeds would sprout when I opened the bag and an amazing smelled hit me. However, I planted every single seed outdoors and not one sprouted. I think growing lavender is really dependent on type of soil and when you plant it. Thus, I'm giving it three stars. The instructions did a good job explaining this. I should've tried freezing the seeds like someone recommended and they mixing some sand in the mud to try to get it to drain better. I live in the Midwest so I'm thinking my soil doesn't drain enough for it. I'm really not sure. All I know is it feels like I wasted my money on these seeds from this brand which is a shame because I bought other flowers in this brand and they're awesome.

Order came as expected. Hoping they grow quickly.

These sadly didn't grow. I planted a bunch of different flower seeds and this was one of the seeds I bought that didn't do anything. I have all kinds of other flowers growing in my garden and none of my plants look like this plant.
